Same here...

We all know we will get a mage class first (Arcanist probably). Scout > Thief would be the ideal next choice.

If we do end up with a pet class next, I really hope its Tamer > Beastmaster .

I just don't want to see Summoner class/job rushed and ending up like the FFXI version...

We need mage classes first not just one. We're sitting at 5 DoW versus 2 DoM, adding more melees would simply widen the gap.
Arcanist is a given but we also need new ones and Summoner not only somewhat fits but has been mentioned by Yoshi P for months. The problem in XI wasn't only being rushed but also the mechanics themselves being dated and simply terrible.
It was a job with huge limitations and one that hasn't aged well at all. It also screams FF much more than any other class combined and that's what people have been asking for since launch...

I'm utterly blown away that the Veira option of that poll didn't win by a massive land-slide I have at least some faith left in the community knowing that at least 75%~ish wants something other than playboy bunnies in the game.

Really disappointed that "Viera" won the race poll. If you want bunny girls, go buy a playboy mag because Viera are just tall girls with a poofy tail and ears slapped on. Good thing everyone has been bitching for male mithra & female galkas; I hope you enjoy your bunny men (aka even gayer elvaan).
