Nope not losing years of work.
Nope not losing years of work.
Staying on the server I've been with since day 1. Not giving up all that. ^^
There's always room for Doubligar!
As for fresh start servers, I may start a character up and see how to goes but whether or not I'd move my main over at a later day would all depend on how the community was on said server. I've rerolled more times in the past than I can shake a stick at so I know how starting from 0 feels haha, and being here since day one also.
Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means
Why not divide everyones currency by a certain set amount in accordance with any changes in overall item prices?
So say they change the economy to where 100k is the new 1mil, they should cut peoples money accordingly so they aren't overly wealthy.
Taking all of their money would be detrimental to the player base though. Not only would higher level characters have nothing to work with, but anyone with over 5mil would be pissed.
Taking any of our money would suck, we've worked hard for it and again, it's NOT hard to make gil in this game D:Why not divide everyones currency by a certain set amount in accordance with any changes in overall item prices?

But if suddenly everything in the game economy were tweaked and lowered to say 1/2 of the current values, the 50 mil you had would double in value.
Thats a bit ridiculous ;x
If they did cut ingame item prices to re-establish a base or whatever, and also cut your money by the same percentage they tweaked the original prices, you would still have your money technically, just it would read a bit smaller.
Its the players that make the prices in the wards, no one else. . . and what difference does it matter? There's always going to be people that make tons of gil and this is inevitable.
We do not play MMOs to have our progress cut because someone feels that people are too far ahead.

I'll be giving it a try. It should be fun to see new people though I was actually hoping to have the new people come to us rather than requiring that we go to them. But I suppose that would be impossible unless they're given some sort of incentive to start on the old servers. It feels kind of boring without fresh blood.![]()
I have no desire to "Start over" or give anything up. I've invested time and effort into both of my characters. No fresh start for me.
Honestly this should not even be an issue. It takes no time at all to earn gill, and with the exception of Darklight and the new hard to craft armor, not very much is out of the realm of affordability.
If you want something it does NOT take much time to either a) Craft it b) farm it or c) buy it. New players will not be at any disadvantage and will in no time be on the same level field as most of us. There is NO reason what so ever under the sun moon and stars to wipe the economy.
