
Don't quote me or anything but the midnight releases that my local Game Stop hosts seem pretty happenin'. Perhaps those are bigger than E3?



Most Japanese developers use Tokyo Game Show for their huge news, given as it's in Japan, and they're Japanese.
E3 is a joke anymore, it's all about getting the biggest name you can afford to promote Call of Duty 4: Black Ops 2: Modern Warfare 3: The Expansion 6.
Final Fantasy XIV was first announced during the Sony Press Conference in 2009. It was only mentioned there because it was "Sony Exclusive" and fit in with the trailer for Final Fantasy XIII. If it wasn't being made for the PlayStation 3, it wouldn't have even been mentioned at E3.
