No trailer at E3 LOL @ SE

Yes, but im not whining from a point of extreme ignorance/lack of common sense/insert insult here. There's nothing wrong with complaining. There *is* something wrong with complaining about something that you don't even comprehend. The least ppl could do with their complaints is exercise common sense. I'm *all* for complaining, but let's at least pretend to have brain cells when we do it yeah? The complaints in the thread are just retarded, especially considering a trailer without information was *not* going to do *anything* to drum up any sort of mass interest. From a marketing perspective, all it would've been to gamers was a fail game with a new trailer. And anyone with a shred of common sense could see that, but all the community is good for these days is face-rolling drivel on their keyboards.

It has nothing to do about whining, its all about complaining while using some brain matter. I mean cmon, you have to see these ludicrous conclusions are just that...ludicrous.

you also have to be smart enough to use brain cells and realize that if the game is supposed to release in just a few short months they should have at least something that people can put their hands on. if they don't have something that they could have made a hands on demo for at least the console version for e3 you should really start to question if the game will actually be even close to ready by the time the release date comes up.

you also have to realize that e3 is the largest show for the na players and it is also the spot that specializes in consoles. i would have thought they would have been prepared since release is in oct/nov, but undoubtedly not.

You also have to realize that there's a lot of things @ E3 that will topple FFXIV and won't stand a chance there.. Esp. with Wii U Taking the spotlight. Esp when FFXIV is already failed MMO, they need to "Wait for the right moment to strike" E3 is just not one of them.. doing it Just prior to 2.0 Beta ( Gamescom and Penny Arcade) is the perfect time to strike.

- Assassins Creed III
- Resident Evil 6

yes, you are correct. you must also realize that those games that will be blowing people away at e3 while that "failed game" is showing nothing is creating a buzz for those games. when se does start their massive promotion they not only have to make up for the original release and the bad press it has already gotten, but now they also have to play catchup to the buzz surrounding the games that were shown at e3 that blows it out the water.

the more i read from you and a few others the more i realize people really dont know what e3 is really about


there are 2 things people expect at e3 and look for

1) new unexpected released, these only really happen during the main press conferences
2) games that they have already been following that have not yet been released that they are waiting on

going off of this, you can pretty much guarentee 14 wasnt going to be in a press conference, so that rules that out, and as for #2, we are alreayd released, so giving people an "update" on a released game is pretty pointless. it would be the equivilent of blizzard going there to advertise warcraft, it wont do anything for them

also given the history of MMOs at e3, its also a bad time for it, usualy most mmos give absolutely no or little info at e3 cuz its not the time for them to shine. in the past, all you ever really see for them are trailers, inside the main conferences(again proving point #1 above)

Well that is you and a few others maybe. But any FF fan and avid mmo player that has stuck by FFXIV, played since release, will say... FFXIV is be the most anticipated event showing at E3, at least for me it is. I don't even play consoles that much anymore, and FF is my favorite series, DMC and RE are great as well. But I'm hooked playing an FF mmo, that's true to its roots, live, with other players. And I hope 2.0 is gonna be the 'mmo beast' I think its gonna be.

I want to see FFXIV there as well.. I was mere pointing out that the people that left for a long time How is Yoshi-P and Team going to get the players lost, to believe their game is great if they only show a little information. Yoshi-P has to Prove to the players that FFXIV is not a bad game anymore. We know its not a bad game anymore. They need actual Proof, if they go in there with little info.. then they are just going to say whatever and walk away from it.

That's why Yoshi-p said "Better we flood them with information then trickle". and they have the right idea. "flood them with information with 1 month till beta" it does build hype when people know close to its release date or beta.
