Their track record says it. They aren't good at things like meeting deadlines or meeting expectations. They always deliver the bare minimum. When SE says they will have a trailer for E3, that's literally all they have.
I have been full for any static stuff like PDFs.
This is playing game not study session.
wanna see more like dynamic.
It's a mess and a bad situation to me. I can see both sides as to why they should and shouldn't have done this. Especially after reading everyone's thoughts on this and how they feel. I do think it was a bad decision to make at the last minute to tell everyone about. Because I don't believe they made this decision here at the last moment. I know this just had to have been discussed and talked about and why they made their decision. However, once this started being planned it would have been better to say why they did this much more in advance then just "we decided to keep it under wraps."
They do say that "In order to make version 2.0 a success, we need to appeal to not only our current players (naturally!), but also as many new players as possible, including PS3 owners." and not showing your trailer is a good way to not appeal to new players. But you know, things could backfire. People could see the trailer and then go rush to buy the game cause it's already out and then be like "Wtf is this? This isn't what I seen at e3. You're liars." and numerous other reasons as well, but regardless they lied to the community about this. For whatever reason they decided against it is fine, but waiting until 1 week before e3 to tell us I think was a bad decision.
One of the player polls had the "promise of 2.0" which scored the top. This tells you how much people are looking forward to what 2.0 will be. Really people should start expecting "New trailer of 2.0 coming in 2.0."
So when all the other gaming companys have their trailers and hands on demos SE will be showing off their year old PDFs. That's sure to get people pumped.
All this bitching... am I the only one who read that "not a trickle but a flood" line? We're not getting a trailer. We're getting more.
But we get more in August, pretty much a month before release, bit pointless and late.
Gives other games more chance to steal players like TERA and D3 is doing and next it will be GW2/Secret World. So wonder who these "new people" are lol who aint already pumped for other games that havent got a insanely bad reputation and are publically spreading infos (even betas).
I'm just waiting for the 180 the complainers will pull to be honest.
Ah Tera, that one MMO with so much potential but only had a battle system that set itself apart while everything else was nothing new and too westernized which killed off a bunch of it's core players and even had the head of BHS come out to state the game is doing really poorly, even less than they assumed it would drop.
In the real world, people play multiple MMOs at a time if it interests them.So wonder who these "new people" are

No, we get the trailer in August. Yoshida is still going to E3 and I seriously doubt he'll be there just to shake hands. The trailer's already done, he said. So obviously it's not them not meeting a deadline. Moreover, they're still mounting the site for release right after E3.But we get more in August, pretty much a month before release, bit pointless and late.
