Please forgive a newb if this has been brought up in the past but... WTF theres no water spell ingame. Anyway i stumbled on this recipe when i was taking my lowly carpenter up. Was new to the game and could never quite figure out why they never sold.

It's not effected by Water Potency in any way, people have tested for that before.

ya i know that but they still have it there because they still have plan to add water attack spells at some point in the game maybe for other type of mage job.

No it's not. A dev said here on the forums that cure is not water but they did say that water spells didn't go away entirely. Some monsters still cast water and there are still water elementals. It's speculated water will be coming back to a new class, possibly Arcanist being from LL surrounded by water.
