Three posts above :Hi all, didn't notice this thread when I made a different post earlier but a rep confirmed today that a water spell is in the changes: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...is-in-the-game
Oh well :dAccording to the French rep, Water wasn't included on the list on purpose, but will be present in the game. He confirmed that Conjurer will have access to Wind / Earth / Water elements and Thaumaturge to Fire / Ice / Lightning.

There aren't any water-based attack spells, but conjurers do control water-based spells. The break down of elements are as follows:
CNJ: Water/Wind/Earth
THM: Fire/Ice/Lightning
Also, there are no paralyze/poison/silence/absorb/slow and there aren't any plans to implement them before the launch of version 2.0. However, as we move forward, if it becomes absolutely necessary to utilize them, we will look into it.

I don't like this so much. Please keep enfeebling magic part of THM or BLM's repertoire, please. There aren't any water-based attack spells, but conjurers do control water-based spells. The break down of elements are as follows:

Or, it's simply because the current classes and jobs aren't going to be enfeebling (spell wise), because you know, they could introduce RDM or Time Mage which will handle enfeebling?
Just a thought...
I have bets on a long term-plan here.
It's ok, I like the idea becase after 2.0 probably those spells will go to a new mage.
by taking them away now, it gives something for a new DoM class to have later. this also make a new DoM class unquie and not just a clone of con or thm. its a shame we will have to wait till 2.0. but i think it sounds like they have a plan
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember, that is the illusion.
