People were apprehensive at first, myself included but after settling in with it, it turned out to be a pretty pleasing system. UI woes aside I think it's a lot smoother than it was.

Sad fact is coming in here and chest thumping, yelling your wants won't get you far . You'll attract more flies with honey, why not lay some suggestions down that might improve the system?
I realize that protect does both, but that's really stupid, imo. If he would make the buffs last 30 minutes (like they did in XI), and he made stuff like Defender that lasts "forever" until negated by "Berserk" or recasting, etc....then things wouldn't have been so "convoluted," as you put it. You wouldn't have a problem with so many actions, b/c you'd rarely use them.

As for the 30 second thing, I was exaggerating...
