This could be really awesome actually. The implementation would be a small detail but I think players could have a lot of fun with it. I'm thinking drunk runs could be the new nude runs. Well my idea, is once you reach a level of drunk you can no longer run, but walk staggering around. so the dungeon 'runs' would be people running through but the parties one alcoholic who is way behind everyone -- lost, staggering around, then found flirting with a rock he thinks is a hot miqo'te

but seriously, SE this game has adult themes and I like it! thats what I liked during beta, and why I stuck with it(when there was so much wrong with the game.) it was more mature in theme. so keep up that. Make the enemies serious sickos, make there perverts. move the strippers out of the miners guild and into a brothel! and give us alcohol with visual effects not #s. I am not suggesting illegal drugs, I am talking about alcohol something most adults enjoy, and some who abuse alcohol. make eorzea have real things that would be taking place in the middle ages since that seems to be the setting

Meh, I don't think we need anything else that glorifies or lightens alcohol in an environment populated by teens. The biggest killer amongst teens in the US and EU is traffic accidents with a disproportionate amount of those accidents being alcohol related. 32% for fatalities, to be precise.

There are about 30 recent medical journals that contest your statement. While videogames are not linked to violence directly (it is highly unlikely that games cause violent behavior) there is an outstanding correlation that teens and males in their mid-20's to early-30's will emulate the behaviors of characters. This is why a large number of men are so susceptible to marketing - much moreso than women.

If you are in university take a look at your library database for some really interesting reads.

Maybe all games should be about going to work on time and instead of levelling up we can all climb the career ladder. The grind is all about sitting on a virtual train for 45 minutes and reading Internet on our phones, ignoring one another. What would be really fun is if the SE special task force didn't just ban bots* but pulled people over for riding on the wrong side of the dirt track and gave us fines for various other misdemeanours. I think this is a viable Gil sink.

(most games don't actually glorify drinking, they make it something of a nightmare with your character making a fool of itself and eventually puking. It's funny becuase it's not real and it's not really happening to us as real people in the real world.)

actually texting while driving kills more than alcohol related accidents now. not that i condone drinking and driving. but people who want to drink are going to drink.. and if they drive i hope they get a DUI.

Also its a game.. people who are playing it are not out drinking and driving, they might be drinking and playing. alcohol is the only way I can justify in my mind why people have level 50 crafts THAT STUFF IS BORING
