The easiest solution I see to every problem mentioned in the OP is to just abstain from playing with assholes. Create your own LS, play with like-minded people.

I want the challenge in this game. I have ended otherwise amazing 8-man roaming parties simply because someone wanted to introduce a powerleveler(naturally I was nice about it at first before leaving and causing everyone else to follow me). When doing Toto-Rak and "mini"-Ifrit runs, I've been painfully obstinate about the levels being near the range of the content. I have people who feel the same way and I play with them. That simple.

The market wards? Heaven forbid people try to enjoy the meta-game of trying to make it big by playing with the economy. If you don't want to partake, then become self-sufficient. With food, medicine, and overall crafting modifications, my LS and I find ourselves enjoying that side of the game much more. I will concede that Ul'dah is still laggy as all hell, but that's a combination of things from players not wanting to budge even though the markets have been linked to crappy server quality.

I'm very protective of the game experience of my friends and myself, and the game has been a real blast because of this. Everything else aside, if there's one thing the game lets you do, it's playing your way.

I'd also like to think that people in the position of the community teams, team leads, and Yoshi P as director/producer know what types of balance the game needs, what types of feedback to listen to(hint: probably not this thread), etc.

Basically this. There are 3 different phases of the fight and if a person isn't coordinated and knows what to do in all 3 of the phases they will be one shotted. Now tell me what the likelyhood is of 8 people being able to come together, half of which have probably not even seen the entire fight, and win this fight. It just isn't going to happen any time soon, not on the NA side atleast.

That is one thing that worries me with the future content finder. If these dungeons/fights are going to be to the point you need a niche group to properly coordinate these fights after numerous times practicing, it will be off putting.

Yeah I kind of want that (Content finder). I just hate not being able to play half the game (or get seals) because I can't find a party...

I dont think that works anymore, I disbanded the party with my wife when I was solo farming and she still got about 3 items from chests that run >.> (she was even at the entrance the entire time)

Another issue I have with players is this NEED to stack certain classes for every dungeon and encounter is utterly ridiculous, X amount of warriors/X amount of black mages/X amount of bards/and a White Mage. The player base has chosen to condemn three classes that are actually great and these are the Dragoon/Paladin/Monk, so I ask the player base...

no ones shouting for it because pick up groups will fail at it so hard and they know it. A lot of LS's are still doing it.

JPs on Gungnir are still actively doing pick up garuda.

6/8 of those members were all in the same LS, not sure id call that a pug.

I was booted from a Garuda party because I didn't have atleast 3 melds on my gear. If thats what is expected, and where this game is headed, I will be going elsewhere.
