    Do Classes have Artifact Armor too?

    I keep seeing artifact armors for the main Jobs, but none for the classes (for those who want to remain the base class for class-specific skills).

    If not, why not? They could all be unique to their upgraded class. For example:

    Marauder - Pirate Attire (Since all the pirates in Limsa seem to be Heavy Axe users)
    Gladiator - Some Gladiator attire. Similar to what the leader of Ul'Dah wears.
    Archer - Well, some Archer-specific attire. Look very foresty and green with some brown.
    Lancer - Final Fantasy Tactics style.

    Just some ideas. It would give more incentive to remain as a class rather than becoming a job.

    As of yet, there is no BIG reason to stay class. Perhaps will change in the future. But at the moment, the biggest reason is to wear Vanya gear with your Astrolobe AFKing in Ul'dah.

    Classes and Jobs are not complete from what I understand. Classes are nothing more then the pre-branch of the different job specs people can choose.

    From what I understood, every class will have more then one job eventually. For example say a Gladiator can become a Paladin (tank) or a Dark Knight (DD)...a branch to two different roles. As someone said above, theres no point in putting preference on the classes themselves if the endgame is for them just to be pre-reqs for Jobs.

    The PLD -or- DRK idea was quickly shot down by the community and I don't think they're going to go through with it. The idea of Class vs Job is that Class is for solo stuff (more balanced stats and skills) while Jobs are for parties (taking a specific role as a part of the whole).

    Pretty sure the community isn't the one that green lights or red lights these ideas. If you look at some of the base class abilities, this idea is still very much possible.

    Just in case the OP missed the answer above: They already did this, kind of.

    classes are complete more so than the jobs. job are pertty much gimped doing anything out of a party worth a challenge. GLA is the best tank in the game and thats a class. why do people going in raids as THM over BLM?. if i go lv50+ mob farming on PUG i never have to rest, on MNK i will get downtime if i survive. in a party if the tank gos down a class can more than make up for it. theres pros & cons to every situation with every job/class.

    It seems this time it's to give enough reason to enhance another aspect.

    I myself don't want them to remove classes, but I have them to be more horizontal based, like more damage when NOT wearing a shield at the expense of defense for gladiator, or altered Surge abilities for LNC to go back to the party support, doing similar things to all the classes while at the same time enhancing the vertical strength of jobs, that and some overall balancing between the jobs and jobs vs content, and I'd be shiny.

    Now back on topic.

    I hope there's not class AF. I don't like that anything is class ONLY. Takes away from the lure of the Jobs in my opinion.
