Why lock Beastmaster behind Dawntrail?

Do you need to finish the quest "Dawntrail" (level 100) or just own Dawntrail? Because if its the latter, that makes sense. It's a part of the Dawntrail expansion. You need to buy the expansion to play it. Just like you do for Viper and Pictomancer despite them starting at Shadowbringer's level cap.

Bringing up the first and only limited job is quite disingenuous, especially with how long ago it released, the size of the game then, how many were not on the latest expac of the time (Stb); they didn't need that requirement. (Hint: read a post or two above to understamd Stb was actually needed on a technical point.) What you're basically asking is to have your cake and eat it too while barely supporting them. (News flash, most of the sub money isn't income, its used to pay staff and such, spare/extra money comes from mog sales and expac releases, which you claim to not support at all for one of them. With your stance, I assume you barely had any mog purchases to supplement them)

TLDR: your sub won't be missed by Square by your own words. You're in a delusion where a small pittance of 10-15 USD a month is life changing for a company running an MMO. Sub's keep the servers running, ancillary sales make the impactful income.

The exact requirements are to own Dawntrail, and to have finished the 2.0 storyline, which is up to Ultima Weapon and Lahabrea[D].

I also imagine if we ever reach the point Dawntrail is included in the free trial, which hey, might be a thing in 10.0, Beastmaster will likewise be made 'free'.

IMO the level cap doesn't matter because it's a limited job. It doesn't interact with content normally, just like Blue Mage doesn't. It could be level 50 or level 100, it would still be a limited job.

That's unfortunatley not going to fix the Crystal Tower situation, because people are just not unlocking later ARs.

tbf, there are tons of outdated sidequests and whoever is leveling or boosting their way to 100 just overlooks them
