Please allow repairs without changing classes

It tends to be a bit steep on gil when you've got full level 50 gear. And it might just be me, but gil seems harder to come by when you're not leveling jobs (that steady leve income goes away, and such).

Please allow us to do repairs without changing classes there is no need for it I am pretty sure you can hold a hammer in any gear. Even with macros having to take off all your gear for a 2 second repair is abit much especially in areas where lag is pretty bad sometimes it can take awhile.

If you represent the majority of the lv.50s of this game, then your cheap #1, your lazy #2 and finally #3 inefficient. I'm not even level 50 yet and i got over 600k, so gil isn't hard to come by and repairs are not a major pain. Plus I die most of the time in exp grinds so if it wasn't for gear-duration and repairs, I'd probably be loosing a lot of exp due to penalties.

Crafting and repairs are the sole backbones to FFXIV, such a thread like this is defamatory of a good, fun system that helps replace exp penalties. Making it simpler could make the over all system more convoluted or lead players just to find more to whine about. SE made the system so user friendly since the time it was created, less tedious with less steps to take.... man, just deal with it.

It's a bit hard on mage classes right now because it will reset cooldown timers on important abilities like Presence of Mind, Raise, Benediction, Convert, and Burst. Or Battle Voice for Bard.

Because of the timer reset I can't afford to repair other people's gear even though I want to. As a White Mage main, I would be letting the party down if I couldn't raise a member because I helped someone with a repair before going into the fight.

I never knew this... I'm still working my way to 45 (/blush).

Well maybe SE should consider revamping the system so we can choose a subclass and/or repair w/o equipping the tool we already have in our inventory. Depending on our level craft, equipping the tool could work for just crafting and only crafting, leave an exception to repairs.

If one can repair their gear, why would they pay an NPC up to 5k per item to do it for them? That's silly.

Than whats the point of DM and lvling of crafting ..... and more cheaper to do ur own repair too ..
