Ironmouse at fanfest

It's fine to me since I'm not into streamers or vtubers but my friend talked about Ironmouse for a while so I know she is someone who has a chronic illness but before that she had been training to be a opera singer so she will probably be singing here.

I mean anyone is better than Asmongold or any toxic FFXIV streamer for the NA fanfest.

There's nothing wrong with Asmongold. He is smart enough to be respectful, and he was actually part of one of the media tours and it was fine. It's unlikely now though because I think he doesn't want to deal with FFXIV, or really any long-term MMO commitment, now he's branched into variety streaming.

As far as "toxic" goes it's subjective. As long as they actually like the game it's alright. If it's someone that farms hate content that got trendy the last few years, I doubt SE would even want them there. If it's someone that actually plays and enjoys the game, it's unlikely to be an issue.

yeah I don't think SE would touch Asmongold with a 10-foot pole, considering that YoshiP had to apologize to sena bryer for the hate that she was receiving and Asmongold's community openly hating trans people, I don't think that would ever work.

Apparently Ironmouse makes people talk about FFXIV, so regardless what you think about her, the marketing is marketing.

I was surprised to hear about Ironmouse, but in a positive way. I associate her with general Vtubing, not XIV, but I've heard her incredible singing before and I think it's a very good chance she'll perform live.

Nah, Asmongold can be polite, otherwise he'd be removed from the panel if he was being annoying either way by SE.

People have their views. Everyone that works for SE will have their private views as well. There is probably a reasonable foundation for them, from their perspective. Personally, I try to understand other people and see their point of view even if I don't ultimately come to the same conclusion as them, rather than instantly condemning them, but that's just me.

It stems from when she defended that dude that beat her last year people on bluesky started to call her a certain group sympathizer iirc.

I'm going to say it: no one needs to support anyone who is being toxic, esp if it's like years of them acting terrible and ragebaiting like we have thousands of way more decent FFXIV content creators even if they're much smaller so there's nothing of value lost if SE never speaks to him again.
