PLEASE fix the older ARs

Interesting, so these people would rather sit through CT and just get roulette lvl 100 tomes, and not unlock the other ARs that give 80-120 uncapped tomes and 8-15 capped? Odd thought process, but okay. all CT raids only give poetics as default rewards when uncapped tomes are quite plentiful in any other AR.

Even if the math turned out worth, as of current patch, there are 17 Alliance Raids in the game, assuming an equal distribution, which is untrue even in a perfect system the lowest levels would be disproportionally represented simply because the requirements are lower, a majority of the time you would be getting the same or nothing from the raid itself depending how you see Poetics, every non-current expac Alliance Raid only gives Poetics after all, only Jeuno, Sand Oreo, and whatever the third one is called once it is released will give uncapped and capped tomes.

I am not saying I agree with that attitude, I have all Alliance Raids unlocked myself, I am just trying to explain where it comes from.

You might want to check duty finder again. Only ARR ARs give only poetics. For example, Mhach currently gives 60 mathematics and 8 mnemonics; Euphrosyne gives 100/12 for completion rewards. Bosses still only give poetics.

Wait, damn, is that a recent change? I remember them only giving poetics back in EW when I actually looked at them in DF, I haven't needed to que into them directly since.

Still, doesn't change the core point that they are valuing time spent over anything else, if I had to guess they value capped tomes over anything else and the roulette is itself is 50, an additional 8-15 for like twice the time spent is seen as not worth it.

Or play exclusively Savage and Ultimates, spend 30 minutes on roulettes, spend 5 hours in PF, probably get 2 pulls done in that timeframe if they are lucky.

Personally I don't even have access to the vendors that use the newest tomes, so that's another reason I don't care about doing roulettes at level 100 or unlocking more to do within those roulettes.

Only the poetics matter to me for doing HW relics (and eventually to vendor off gear for company seals), and I can get those from other content I'd rather be doing.

My dream is still for the devs to just fully redesign CT into regular dungeons and plop them into Main Scenario. Right now I feel the only way AR will be "fixed" is to force another series for MSQ or dramatically retool the difficulties of all raids. Shoot, FFXIV Mobile opting to make CT 8-man raids could be a solution, too.

Or, god forbid, let us run the 24-mans unsync'd. One level 100 player could carry a small group of 50s through CT if they tweaked things like the Atomos sections.



The devs mentioned (threatened?) to make Eden required for MSQ, and Gaia being the FFXIV rep in the latest Dissidia makes me REALLY believe they are actually doing that for 8.0.
