    The Armoire Update

The Armoire update is a step in the right direction and would allow players to store more items.

However, if the armoire is what they would like to expand on, it should be followed by giving players additional glamour plates. Currently, dyes are not saved when items are stored in an armoire, so complementing this by giving players more plates to work with would ideally counter the armoire's limitation, assuming that more gears would be available to be placed into an armoire.

    I agree!

I love getting more space but it's very annoying to have glamour stored in two different systems: the armoire and the glamour dresser. I hope they can make it so we can at least view all the glam we have stored in one place.

Since we have so few plates I often put together outfits by glamming things individually from the glamour dresser. Having to check two places will be irritating and often means that I forget about or don't use the stuff in the Armoire.

I was hoping they'd merge the two into something new and much more intuitive to use. Right now its a jumbled mess of gear and trying to sift through what you have and where its stored can be a nightmare. If they could merge the two into one spot and give us a proper UI for the thing it could be amazing!

I think the goal is to move to armoire only. Since they are slowly going to be adding more and more dungeon gear able to be placed in there. I would think that includes raid gear too. So all thats left is crafted stuff if it isn't already included. Which means no limit on the number of items.
The dyes not sticking is annoying, but its a minor downside to an amazing thing. The only better thing regarding storage would be to automatically save all appearances once unlocked like WoWs transmog.which you could technically do it with this, you just manually have to put the pieces in there.

I honestly forgot about that, which is interesting because the reason we can't have glamour dressers in player housing is because its "too much" for the servers to handle, but the armoire gets stuff added literally every month (via events or mog shop) and yet it seemingly hasn't been a cause for concern from Square-Enix. I assume at least part of the load problem is dye information, and the other is whatever instance data is used to generate the innards of houses.

Incidentally, they're changing how housing interior instancing works (thus being able to swap them from S/M/L sizes so readily), and dyes are being massively consolidated. Not proof of anything, but it does make me wonder...

Who knows. Heard that kind of excuse plenty of times over by now. I'm sure there's some reason or another as to why the glamour dresser and armoire became the way they are... money/time likely being the real culprits. Either way, if it is now feasible for them to fix all of the broken systems, I'm thankful its happening now as opposed to never.

they already said glamour plates are the next thing on their to do list after the housing update.
now if that means 7.55, 8.0 or 8.1 i dont know.
i wouldnt bet on anything before 8.1 though. that seems sadly like the most likely point.

without fun jobs none of the content is fun!
jobs should have their full rotations on lvl 60 or 70! for a better low lvl experience.
for satisfying glam builduing we need 5 basic glamplates + 2 more for each class / job
pls give us a proper glam collection like every other mmo has.
pls upgrade the gear from normal raid and also alliance-raid by 10 ilvl each.
pls add old glowy ex trial weapons for new jobs!
and for gods sake pls give as the ability to preview any hairstyle on our own character!

Just hope for the UI of Armoire to be updated alongside it, maybe not entirely needed for just 7.0 gear, but if expanded, jeesh.

I’m really thinking the Armoire will become the sole storage place for gear eventually… and then maybe they could repurpose the current glam dresser’s UI with the icons for each piece, tabs for head/chest/hands/etc, and hopefully (hopium) being able to store dyes on everything.
