Personally I would love to see GAU gear, but I suppose you can just glamour the hell out of the gear to make it feel Gau-esque.

That kind if looks like a curled up whip to me? I know they previously said they don't want a whip job cause they would run out of ideas for unique whips but for a limited job they wouldn't have to make them that often

I wonder, does the Goobbue in Limsa mean we'll be able to summon beasts in cities? Or did they break the rules just for that particular screenshot?
The white and blue armour is definitely different than I expected.
Bring back 6.0 Dragoon.

I bet you anything we need to fight the Gobbue in The Wanderer's Palace.
Beasts in the cities would be interesting. I suppose if you can summon faeries and carbuncles, it would stand to reason the beast could join us.

I thought it had to do with the skeleton of the whip being too much? Either way they'd have to make like 1 or 2 every 2-3 years so they have time to work it out I guess. Excited either way!

That's correct. The "bones" required of the whip were a hassle and that's what they said they hated most.
I suppose if it was in a limited job there'd be very little whip actions and all beast actions.
Seems like a plausible work around.
I still think that looks more like a cudgel though. I don't really get whip from that photo.

I wish the armor looked more like FFXI's, but I guess this is probably just the level 50 set so there will probably be some more in the future to look forward to.

As did Pagaga. It could be very well be Axe + Shield, since Lyon in Bozja also wielded them
I think it was pretty much set that those would be the weapons used for a while now.
In fact, iirc those two are still alive out there, so maybe they'll turn a new leaf and be our job quest NPCs.
