This throw me back years ago when I was farming a similar event for a similar sakura tree.

While it's not an instance game like the one before, having to do a fate is perfectly acceptable (and used to be done too in some event in ARR/HW).

Some won't like it, it's sure. But it's still way better than what we used to have for a couple of years. Personnally, I enjoy it.

Also, thanks for not giving too many currency at once for this one. We can actually do it a couple of time ! This is exactly what we needs from event, having some small mini game to do and the possibility of farming those.

Please keep going on that way for the next events I can't wait to see a "parkour" game like we had in the past for a summer event on the beach of Costa del Sol!

While I agree with almost everything you said, I do think the currency is a little too low. You'd need 18 certificates to get everything, I'm getting 4 certificates for a gold completion rating. Feels a little on the low side to me, personally considering I want a lot of the trees as well.

I had 10 trees and every rewards, and did 1:15 hour of the event.

I don't believe that it's too low. I don't mind spending a little time on the event. While the cake making was more fun than the cheering, it's still better than nothing and it all depends of how many trees you want. If your goal is to stash 100 trees on a retainers to sell them in 1-2 years when they become more rare, then yeah you'll probably spent a couple of hours. (I know they are not sellable on the marketboard, but sharing the ownership of an house are ways of having someone giving/selling you limited items)

But I feel that the ratio is good right now.

Oh and just to let everyone know : 6 cheers is all it takes to get the 4 certificates. So you can chill after that. 5 is silver reward

World of Warcraft has events with mounts that are silly drop rates. I think it's something like a 5% chance drop once per day per account then it drops to 1% for alt runs. Once the event is gone so are the chances until next year. There are people that have gone YEARS without the drop.

I think FF14 players are very spoiled (I'm not directing this at you) but it literally takes a few hours if your farming those trees - sit in the area do some crafting then when the fate pops talk to the NPC and off you go.

On topic:

I hardly do events unless there's a reward I like also they have been "talk this NPC then this NPC" boom your done for awhile.

It's nice to see a little effort been put into them again to be honest and I like the glowstick emotes! Didn't take too long because when the fates up its on a 3 min timer to complete (or was it 2?) Anyways I enjoyed it and bagged some goodies.

Oh no I totally agree.

I didn't do the Valentines one but it looked fun.

This one seems like a middle ground between the Valentines and just going between NPCS for 10 minutes and buying stuff with gil.

Now if it was a farm like Demi Atmas or even if it was 1 token per fate I'd understand but it's not.

You mentioned the trees - how much garden spaces do you get? 20 slots? I don't do housing but I think saying 20 trees ypu want to purchase would be fair.

That's 60 tokens 15 fates over a two week period its basically 4 trees over 3 fates.

I just don't get the complaint I guess I enjoy an MMO been an MMO and I like grinds but feedback over token quantity per fate is absurd when they hand us everything in events for minimal effort anyway.

I'd just like SE not to go back to the 10 minute tour between NPCS then maybe I would actually engage with events outside of seeing something I like.

Enjoyable event. Though I wish they had also included normal-sized shirts.

Yeah, it's a fine Fate, but I didn't find it super fun, so I'd like at least like 6 tokens each sigh.

Also, I'm not planning to get tons of trees, but I like the other rewards were great even if the idol shirts were p terrible imho.
