From what I can tell, it's not really the same ARR from 10 years ago. It's more of what ARR would be if it was made today, instead of combination of trying to salvage an MMO and throwing stuff at the walls to see what sticks.Ignoring the qol updates, which really only appealed mainly to the retail playerbase.
People were expected to do ARR in 2025/6 on a mobile. How exactly is that meant to be engaging? (and I thought ARR was ok..but that was back in 2013)
Let's not forget the cash shop.
There is steam deck for the 'portable/switch' experience.
