    Realistic: I want more field operations modeled after Bozja/Zadnor. That's really all it would take to make me "satisfied".

    Unrealistic: ARR era dungeon design back. Hear me out, but ancient dungeons like Amdapoor Keep and Wanderer's Palace as they were originally built were far more interesting than the dungeons we have now that are just "4 packs of trash separated by a wall, do a boss, repeat". Dungeons should actually require some thought in which routes to take or packs to avoid/prioritize and have unique gimmicks or mechanics, not just be repeating the same old tired design with a fresh coat of paint over and over like we've been doing for too many years to count.

    harder dungeons (can even just be scaled up msq dungeons, that's fine).

    It's odd that we liberate Doma & Ala Mhigo and the one that ends up having the "restoration" content is in Doma. That seemed like the wrong choice to me?

    I'm tired of so many of the dungeons literally being straight hallways zero surprise. This expansion's fights have been enjoyable and the dungeons are pleasant to look at, but I do wish they woukd experiment with some new ideas.

    I understand the speedrun mentality they have acknowledged. It is definitely nice to have dungeons generally planned to take 15-20 minutes, so we know what to expect from every dungeon. But, Realm Reborn's large dungeons with unoptimal paths added character and made them unique. Surely the devs can find a happy medium?

    I like the prospect of killing optional enemies for a treasure chest that could give a rare item. Put it in the stretch to the final boss so people are incentivized to finish the dungeon, rather than leaving and re-entering incessantly to cheese the system.

    Optional paths are cool!

    "I want dungeons to be unique and unoptimal."

    Not after run 10+ and your character is maxed out you keep being asked to go down every side path for every chest because this winding, meandering dungeon has a unique gearset everyone would like pieces of and one of the party is still leveling and wants that teeny bit of extra exp. And now this 15 minute dungeon's taking 25 minutes and you don't have time for trial or raid roulettes and you may not cap this week's tomes.

    Which is precisely what happened before in ARR and why dungeons are like they are now.

    Ala Mhigo has references to its own restoration process. Drowned City of Skala was motivated by recovering treasure to finance it, and the Stormblood Goldsmith quests center on training local crafters so they can help raise funds. It’s not its own highlighted side content line like Doman Restoration, but it’s there.

    There is also that quest series where we help some refugees return home and another where we help start to rebuild the salt harvesting industry for a lucrative and popular export. Like there's actually just as much content around restoring Ala Mhigo as Doma, but it's scattered.

    I'd like for more integrated overworld content. FATEs are boring and I've already completed all yellow quests for the minimal exp they give out.
    There's beautiful locales that simply sit unused after MSQ and I find that a waste for the environment artists that crafted it. I'd like to have more stuff to do within that world, not just instances.
