More rewards on older content like FATES and deep dungeons. I know people have mentioned FATE reworks which would be nice, to make there be more of a point to doing them. I also like the idea of more Grand Company relevance, I think more ranks would be potentially fun.

More housing items would also be fun, though we get that every patch which is always exciting, so I'd say keep on that and keep adding more :P

I'd like to see a return to the GCs too. It's a little sad that we've been capped at Captain, I always got so happy when Raubahn switched from Sergeant to Lieutenant to Captain during my StB playthrough. Adding Ishgard and possibly Ala Mhigo/Doma would be great as well, in addition to more rewards and things to spend seals on. It also gives a place to explore some more story content. My one issue is I'd prefer for there to be less solo requirements to rank up (no more squadron runs please...).

Outside of that I'll echo the sentiment of freeing raid characters from their branching dialogue purgatory. Eden's been out for years, throw up some warnings for players and give Gaia her flowers. (Same with Unukalhai/Cyella in Crystarium limbo) Perhaps a stronger incentive to run old content would fix the issue of people skipping.

more stuff themed after the 12 ancient city states OC is about. putting all 12 in two maps feels already wasted, but only creating like one or two item per state and filling the rest of the boxes with old rewards takes the cake.

I don't mind capping off at OF-2, we're kinda auxiliaries anyway. The "squadron" size and the limited recruiting pool is more of an issue for me. I'd like to bring them out of the instanced isolation - run around recruiting people in the wild for example. This could work with named NPCs who's quests to join are unlocked after you finished relevant parts of the quest chain (some of Hilda's people after the end of Heavensward, for example), or you could go the Retainer route and design/name them yourself. This could even work with beast tribe members - want an Ixali squad member, get them to Allied status and you'll be able to recruit one or two and give them a class as usual. Kinda hard with the glamour, but I'm sure that's a limitation fans of certain beast tribes will be able to deal with.

I'm sure there's someone who will happily run around with a squad of Moogles.

And the second part is that they need to be visible to others in the world as well. Even if it's purely cosmetic outside some specifically designed zones where they have stuff to do, or specific PvP scenarios. Let us show off these uniforms we designed for them!

Pipe dream here; but I'd love it if we could return to Ala'Mhigo.

I mean, it's a city that was one of (if not THE) focal point(s) of an expansion and yet, once we liberated it.... it was a massive nothing-burger; literally "let's liberate this ever-so important city... so we can forget about it once we have!"

I mean, even a side-quest series that does something there would be better than nothing.

I want more face options on the character creator... or more accurately, I want all the face options we USED TO HAVE as additions to the creator, since they sure as hell don't seem to want to fix any of the existing faces that went through drastic changes thanks to the graphic update.

I'm surprised they haven't done that yet, since Ishgard's been part of the Eorzean Alliance for a while now. Would've made sense to do it in 7.0, but 8.0 would be a good time too. I would switch in a heartbeat. But Grand Company these days feels like an old vestige of 2.0 and its 1.0 remnants, and I think SE probably doesn't put a high enough priority on allocating resources to changing Ishgard up for that. They really should, though.

Also, can they finally update Ishgard to be decorated during Christmas??? It's so weird that Starlight holiday originated in Ishgard and yet it doesn't change one bit while the other city-states get all kinds of decorations.
