I'm not that big into NPCs, but I like Alisaie, Aymeric, Leofard, Jullus, Lyse and Shale. I don't want them shoehorned in but it's always a treat when they show up.
P12S phase 1 was really fun for me. I was also pleasantly surprised by the in/out mech early into Recollection EX. Dancing Green was a joy to run for the first time in the normal mode. The music is fun, the voice acting is good, we're all vibing. What dungeon/Trial really did it for you?
P9S color pairs was alright when people could settle on which waymarks to use. In general doing mechanics with a partner or more players is more fun than having to do them alone.
Classic high fantasy, gothic arquitecture and more medieval settings like HW and ShB (in part). It really itches my brain in all the right spotsWhat aesthetic have they touched on that you want them to swing back to?
I also really enjoyed the vibes in (lower) Urqopacha, especially the area with the lupins by the lake. Fluffy nature is great.
They haven't really touched it past some floors in PotD, but more Gelmorra stuff is always welcome. Although we don't have any in the game right now, an actual functioning high fantasy kingdom that is not abandoned/abolished/from mega long ago/etc. would be cool. Kind of like Voeburt used to be!
I like the "odd" ARR mechanics that only show up once or twice in the entire game... having more mechanics where it's less "quick, run to the safe spot—that looks like every other safe spot in every other fight—or die!" and more "here's a debuff/tether/enemy/THING, here's a castbar, here's an environment/interactable gimmick, now figure your way out of this before I finish casting/your debuff runs out". I specially like when it's an environment gimmick or if there's an RNG aspect to it, like in the order or who needs to perform the mechanic. Extra points if the mechanic requires cooperation through multiple parts of it, it feels less more like I'm just standing waiting to avoid the bad and I pay more attention to my teammates. Also, tether memes. Never gets old. Never fails to ragebait me.What game mechanic was introduced that you would like to play more of?
Post-war Coerthas and Dravania (not Ishgard, Coerthas), The Void/13th + The First and progress on balancing each other out, Sky Pirates shenanigans, beyond the Steppe (aka more Xaela stuff), Dalmasca, Bozja (not the warzone, actual Bozja, it looked really cool in Cid's duty) and just general day-to-day life in many civilizations. It'd be really useful for RP/Lore/Character development to be more familiar with building interiors (and get the relevant items for our houses), more down to earth conflict, structure and routines... I am a fairly boring person I think lolWhat places do you want them to revisit with more content?
