Why remove the entire ability when you can just make it so it doesn't pull people into pits? Other games with like abilities have done it.
Midcore is when you take a look at an Ultimate, nod along sagely to a guide and decide to do it when you get 12 months of uninterrupted vacation, which is to say: never.
Most people who object to being rescued are playing a caster.
The others were standing in bad and thought they knew better.
When I play healer, I will rescue you. I don't care if you die, I have a res button for a reason. I'm just trying to teach you not to stand there.
Pavlov knew what he was doing.

i am going to bed but i read this and just effing lol'd so hardAs a MCH main, I get yanked around more than I would like due to having zero mobility skills, and yet I can't recall a single time where it actually saved me, and I know for a fact some of those times were deliberate troll attempts to kill me.
Either remove Rescue, or give MCH's a dash/leap of some kind so people will stop thinking they're "justified" in prioritizing their leash on me.
mch does not need a dash bro
ITT: Healers don't troll with rescue! It should stay!
Also ITT: Why yes I do in fact kill people with rescue.
I think some of ya'll deserve the terrible state healers are in actually.
Some stand in the bad on purpose sometimes for uptime reasons. And because taking a vuln stack doesnt do anything anyway. After the next raidwide healers pop AOE heals anyway. And tbh that is literally why manaward exists for blm, so you can stand in an AOE without having to move. I do this all the time. Hell if someone rescues me i run back into the bad just to prove it doesnt change anything

#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
Healers feel like they've fallen behind the times, designed for a game that no longer exists. I believe SE can update Healer designs to better fit the modern raiding environment they're now creating, offering optimizations for players to master, while still remaining accessible to new players to the role, all while enhancing Job Identity of each Healer by creating a unique gameplay loop for each individual Job in the role. A 'Role Reborn', if you will. https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/504892 is my attempt to prove this belief is not only 'possible', but a very achievable goal for SE
I had to google this one.
Also, MCH literally never has to stand still for any skill so if you're getting rescued that often you need to remap your hotbars or something so you can stay in motion more easily because not having uptime issues for movement reasons is like one of the only big advantages the job has.
