New Emotes you would like to see?

I would like a persistent emote that looks like I'm playing Triple Triad cards.

but seeing folks lying on the grass in section 9 annoyed me.

if an npc can do it in game we should be able to also.

(and yeah i know the thing that allows you do it. thats a thing tho not an in game actuality)

/pdead and /pushups exist, which allow you to depict something 10 times more graphic than just two people lying next to each other

It's known this isn't the case.

/sit and /doze are funky, they are proxy emotes that check nearby objects and will use one of two emotes, /sit checks for chairs, and either does /groundsit if none is found, or snap to a chair and sit on it if one is found, /doze works similarly with beds, the kicker is that it is possible to generate a glitched emote shortcut that will enable you to use chair /sit and bed /doze anywhere, bypassing the proxy nature of those emotes, if you ever seen anyone seemly sitting on a ledge, that's how they do it, meaning both of those are already accessible to players, you just need to get creative with it.

The likely reason we don't get them as real emotes is that at least chair /sit is incredibly prone to clipping, like horrendous clipping like your legs going through the floor, no idea why for bed /doze though.

both playdead and pushups are content locked.
playdead is mogstation and pushups are locked behind doing the GC stuff.
perhaps if they put lay behind something or in mogstation but doing such a simple emote like that in mogstation would potentially cause an uproar so theyd have to content lock it and currently unless they introduced an alliance quest where you have to fix up a spa and thats the emote in that - you are looking at alliance drops or Gold saucer

they dont seem to like locking things but equally seem to lock alot of stuff.

It’s a total pipe dream but I’d love to see something like FFXI’s job-specific emotes. Like Bard playing some instruments (though I guess that’s just the performance emote anyway), Scholars/Summoners posing with their fairy/carbuncle, Reaper aura farming with their uh, ghost thing (I don’t player reaper). Dragoons dramatically disappearing into the sky, Black Mages playing with fire (physically not metaphorically). They could do crafter ones too, like Alchemist pulling out and mixing solutions, or Carpenters pulling out a plank of wood and carefully inspecting it, Weavers threading their needles, idk. I just think it’d be neat (holds potato)

Technically we already have class/Job specific emotes with /battlestance and /victorypose, as it has a unique animation for each class and Job (and race and gender too, for that matter).

More is always welcome however!

I'm surprised this isn't yet a thing considering that the emote already exists and is used by our characters whenever we play Triple Triad.
