Dark Souls x FFXIV Collab Crossover

I want a REAL Dark Souls crossover with FF14. Like don’t get me wrong, I love the armor sets that came with Shadowbringers, and I really love my Historia knight set ALOT and it’s my current Paladin knight glam. But man, imagine a serious dark crossover, as Dark Souls is a pretty dark medieval fantasy game.

Like imagine we got a Dark Souls themed Alliance Raid or etc. Lots of cool ideas of potential bosses, especially if based around actual Dark Souls bosses. And for the final boss, (all DS3 vets will know) just when you think you beat the final boss, ominous music queues and BOOM! Another boss phase. And when you beat that phase and you think you finally have sweet victory, the real crazy boss phase comes, the phase that will probably wipe the AR parties out.

It’d definitely be a great opportunity to bring more DS knight armor sets and other Dark Souls themed armor for all other classes too. They could do Drakeblood knight sets, Faraam Lion Knight sets, Dragonslayer knight sets, or even a fan favorite Sir Artorias set too. There’s so many good choices for DS knight sets.

And I know that it would very much require a collaboration between Fromsoft and SE. But imagine if they ever did do a collaboration and it becomes very successful. Square Enix has done TWO collab crossovers with Capcom for Monster Hunter now and Final Fantasy 14, so I’m definitely not saying it’s impossible. But both games would be great crossovers for each other too, as FF14 has had multiple “end-of-the-world” situations throughout the storyline, so it could make sense to be added into a Soulslike game. Anyway, my crazy idea.

That’s literally what I mentioned in regards to armor that came with Shadowbringers. I have the set that’s for Paladin. It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but we’re here discussing crossover ideas as a whole, not just armor alone. And before you say “not possible” “different companies” nonsense, remember SE has done TWO collabs with Capcom for Monster Hunter world and now MH Wilds. It’s not out of the realm of possibility if both companies want to do it and it’s mutually beneficial. And an ADDED bonus is that FromSoft is ALSO a Japanese gaming company that we all know also makes medieval fantasy end of the world games.

Sir, if Final Fantasy 14 is known for anything, it’s definitely crossovers, whether past and future Final Fantasy games, Nier Automata, and even more so Monster Hunter with Capcom, also another Japanese game company. Final Fantasy would have VERY MUCH to benefit from a crossover with Dark Souls. Both are medieval fantasy games. Both very much simulate “End of the World” scenarios. Both have had dark aspects to them, regarding Shadowbringers AND Endwalker. Both have LOTS of knights, dragons, hard content and magic. Both have serious combat mechanics that need to be known to survive fights.

Dark Souls x FFXIV would fit almost perfectly. To say otherwise to be ignorance and folly.

You say that and yet SE has done TWO crossovers with Monster Hunter now. One is set in Stormblood and one is set in Dawntrail, speaking of “accessibility.” Speaking of “accessibility”, the 3 Nier raids are locked behind completing Shadowbringers.
