If it's not worth it then stop paying for it. It's that easy.Oh my god this stupid argument again.
I rp in my house all the time. It's what keeps me using it. But people take breaks, they do other things, life happens.
And even if I didn't, it's a stupid system. It's absolutely SE's fault for making a system where only a select amount of people can participate, and the ones who can feel hellbent on holding it because it's so hard to get again. It's insane in 2025 that you still have people arguing the system is fine. And we can't pretend it's not a solvable problem.
We have instanced housing in Islands. We have other games examples. Both LoTR and WoW both older games than XIV by far have housing neighborhoods that simply spin up whenever they're full. Which isn't even the point of my post.
So, what, you're going to keep rewarding the devs for the predatory system by just continuing to pay them? Yikes.

Rewarding the devs? Really? Or, and hear me out: I enjoy playing xiv enough to put up with the things I don't. When that balance tips, I'll leave.
But I still think the things that are bad and predatory are those things and should get better- even if I leave and don't come back. I thought it was bad before I had my nice house, I think it's bad now.
I love that my "I'm frustrated with this and it's compounding on things I'm frustrated with and I'm hitting the point of leaving." Has compounding in your mind to "I hate all this but I'll reward the devs with my money."
Unserious.

Well good luck to you. I don't see how continuing to pay them and praying they will just get bored of taking your money will work, but here's hoping.Rewarding the devs? Really? Or, and hear me out: I enjoy playing xiv enough to put up with the things I don't. When that balance tips, I'll leave.

As an aside neither roleplay nor virtual housing is exclusive to FFXIV so you don't really have any excuses for continuing to support a system you supposedly dislike.

Thanks! I'll continue to leave feedback as I have and quit if I feel it's no longer worth it to engage at all like I said before.
I enjoy those things in ffxiv though. Which is the point.
Since it's hard for some people to get.
Right now the things I enjoy in xiv > Than the things I don't enjoy despite my gripes.
When the things I dislike > the things I don't. I'll stop playing.
Until then I'll provide feedback in hopes that the things I dislike don't continue to grow, and things I like do.
I enjoy my house and my rp in xiv so I stay. I can, and do, engage in those things in other games. So I play those games. If xiv stops being fun enough, I'll simply continue in those games and save the money.
Do you get it now or is that still too much?
