I honestly LOVE the trust and duty support systems. But i do wonder... could it not have been possible to just add trust specific dungeons rather than changing the old ones?


The Ai needs to be kinda bad or people will just run trusts outside of dailys.The biggest problem really is the Trust/Duty Support NPCs. They're so bad at the game, and their AI somehow still manages to be dumber than the Squadron AI...
There's only 2 more dungeons for them to change for them at least, Dusk Vigil and Shisui of the Violet Tides.



um actually its a good thing this game sucks, pressing 1 button in dungeons that are 1:1 identical to eachother is good for player retention.


Trusts are taking the fall here but I really think SquareEnix is just trying to make their dungeons more congruent. The OP himself talks about how these dungeons were unique. Sometimes unique is good, sometimes it seems like an unfair curveball, especially for new players.



Just because they want to slap a title on something does not mean that it is not just silly busywork. And that is not, actually, as mmo as it gets since being able to run dungeons and grind up levels with ai characters that are so bad that it directly effects how content is designed just so you do not have to play with others is actually the antithesis of an mmo.




Earlier dungeons were a lot more flavourful, for sure.
They do keep being made more and more like later dungeons, which are all the same with a coat of paint.
If they really can't program an NPC to do the mechanics of low dungeons, the least they could have done was make an alternate version for them, rather than changing it on everyone.
I literally miss the heavy inducing goop from Toto-rak. The goop!
At least it was something different and added to the bosses theme.
(and don't get me started on how cool the 1.0 version was)

It's kinda funny, that both DD and Aurum were always on the very top of the most disliked dungeons. And yet now people bemoan the changes.
Also, both were perfectly doable with Squadrons, and that AI is probably more wonky than Trusts.

These dungeons were never good.

You're complaining they changed an ARR dungeon that you ran maybe once a month? If even that?They are nerfing our dungeons so it can be Trust System "friendly"
They ruined one of my favorite dungeons "Dzemael Darkhold".
The fights were unique and fun.. now its like every other fight..
Why cant they just make another version of the dungeons just for Trust system and leave our normal dungeons alone!
That was fun! I'm going to take a 21 hour nap now~
