With mods I don't have to see peoples disgusting modbeast characters so I think it should stay not added.

IF i have to see people with stupid ugly xmass outfits on, or dressed with gaint animal heads on you can handle 2 seconds of seeing badass clawsome piercings like nose,lip,eyebraws, hell if we showed our tongues a tongue piercing would be great as well, thats the best looking things in the universe between that and awesome tattoos

The more options we have the better. We need new faces,long hairstyles, beards, body hair etc.

If someone doesnt like it they can just not use it. OP, I hope you get your piercings.

Maybe you should read my post again, this isn't about what CS3 would want to implement (probably none of it since that's a massive amount of extra work for them), this is about what players will be asking for and what we could potentially end up with if the devs cave.

dude i have those irl, and I dont even get that lewd its mostly a way of expression more than anything so your case is irrelevant. You're trying associate something that is innocent to people doing lewd bs. Just because one follows a certain style doesnt mean they fall into that other stuff

Adding the most hideous looking trends to the game would diminish the aesthetics too much(any sort of piercings not limited to the ears)

again if i have to look at the horrible xmass stuff, and all that nonsense you can handle the awesome look also ITS NOT HIDEOUS your just stupid, its pretty and awesome just stupid ppl cant understand..

One thing you can't avoid when looking at FFXIV characters on social media is that adding insane mods to their character's body is the big go-to reason to mod in the first place. But 99.9% of said characters look absolutely hideous because there is so little regard for any parity with what's actually in the game. Textures of tattoos and scars, make-up, hair all look garish and trash because they aren't trying to blend into the current art direction of FFXIV, but in plenty of cases, people have tattoos and piercings just like that in real life. Considering the WoL is our self-insert, it's only natural to express wanting your WoL to look a certain way.

That said, I don't think it's a bad idea to add that kind of thing to character creator via the devs using their own tools and assets. We already have gear that have tattoos baked in, and a whole series of various ear piercings and face tattoos. I don't think requesting an eyebrow piercing and back scar is going to result in the average WoL wandering in retail to suddenly take on the form of those aforementioned mod beasts. If anything, it prevents that by giving players more options in retail!

I've been asking for an option to give my Miqo'te a chip out of her ear for ages. It doesn't need to be insane.

I'm calling the assets used for mods hideous, not the look itself. The only reason I'm not covered in piercings is because my body hates them, and I love tattoos and have many.

I'm 100% in support of adding some official options so we can make our WoL even closer to our personal vision.
