That's a shame Awarewolf, your character is very cute. I doubt an Orc or whatever the new race is in WoW can compare to a the attractiveness of a midlander.

I will say the story of FFXIV constantly ebbs and flows. It's not always peak, and that's too bad, but it would be very rare for anyone to keep writing banger after banger. I think there have been signs that it will improve.

In my opinion, even though Dawntrail wasn't their best showing it's still way better than whatever is going on in WoW storywise.

I'm playing this for fantasy. Castles, knights, magic, not... electrified, technology-lit, yet supposedly fantasy buildings.

Allagan was supposedly fantasy but high-tech. Nothing about Sol9 was aimed to be "fantasy." Not understanding the logic here.

Heritage Found is a fantasy location, if you explore it enough. It's actually a lot of Alexandria from FF9, a true fantasy game. But it's so coated in technology and lightning and electrope that this is irrelevant.

Alexandria (the dungeon) starts out looking like fantasy from FF9 but then you are entering boss arenas filled with technology and locations filled with electrope.

The Underkeep is part of Solution Nine. Did you know that it's meant to be a castle? It is possible to completely forget this due to all the technology and robots.

The Meso Terminal is more of the same. It has some elements of FF9's fantasy with castles and brick buildings but very quickly descends into electrope and technology and robots.

It just doesn't stop and they doubled downed on it every patch so far.

And on the other hand, you completely ignore all of Allagan. Which was aimed to be futuristic fantasy.

It does not matter. I am saying I like castles, knights, etc. I am saying that the electrope stuff ruined that for me, and continues to. It doesn't matter what their aim was; it matters how it affected me.

No, I do not. Allagan stuff is fine. The difference between the Allagan technology and Cyberpunk technology is that Cyberpunk overdoes it to the point of making me physically sick at the sheer amount of technology I am seeing.

Solution Nine and its technology is heavily inspired by Cyberpunk (they admitted at the Fan Fest that revealed it). I do not like even the screenshots I have seen of Cyberpunk, and would never buy that game, ever.

This does not apply to me. I didn’t realize this notion existed before I experienced it. And not all of WoW is better, only the housing system.

I dunno, would saying that class design, playstyle variety, instance/encounter design, open world design, casual content, and PvP are also better make me a Blizzard apologist?
