Warrior is badly tuned, has been for years. But it's super fun to play so the devs don't want to change it.
That's really all there is to it.

Due to the prevalence of 'tankxiety' they made the role as easy as possible. Hell it does seem to have worked, I get DPS queues pretty quickly.
being able to run dungeons without a heal is one of the few things that can make the game -slightly- challenging. They shouldnt fix it, otherwise it gets even more boring

I feel sorry for WAR. As long as some loud streamer mains the job alongside their many Axe-Wielding Mary Sues defender, BW, SiO, and Equilibrium will remain that way. Until somehow they jump ship to another job and influencing SE to ruin whatever they're maining next.

If you can no heal with a DRK are you really putting in any effort to no heal a WAR. WAR is just pointlessly bloated
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

This thread is one of the many results of the slow and definitive erosion of the battle system and RPG mechanics in all pve content to the favor of role agnostic DDR and body checks as a replacement for difficulty - why do you think TOP was no healer cleared, as hard as it may have been to pull? Trash is the only remaining variable that still plays on that older set of mechanics, and so the devs decided to make it irrelevant anyway by making tanks invulnerable.
When jobs aren't there anymore to perform their roles, what's remaining is for everybody to dodge and dance.

Secretly had a crush on Mao
I dare any "healers aren't needed" to switch to a healer, run any of the dungeon roulette except leveling and then not heal at all.
The design of normal content is very much tuned for a party four randos, one of which is doing it for the first time, one hasn't played in a year and forgot and one is busy learning to juggle and is forced to play with one hand. And in such an environment, healers suddenly become relevant enough. Sure, a party of 3 red + blue or 4 red is faster. But if you're making a premade party and optimizing to run a generic dungeon in this game, you are not doing it the way a normal player would. All normal content is trivial when you got preplanned group and proper communication, healer or no healer.
Why do you think we're here complaining about not being needed? My default reaction to seeing a WAR in a dungeon is "I see I'm dps now" and the other tanks don't exactly have me jumping for joy, which is a shame because the most fun I have in this game is when the run is an absolute catastrophe and I actually have to play my role.

You were able to run dungeons without a healer even in Stormblood.
Sometime around then, I did a lot all-DPS dungeon runs. We cleared most dungeons with just DPS. The sheer amount of DPS means that bosses don't last long enough to even kill all of us. Occasionally, we'd need potions, but we probably wouldn't in 2025 when all jobs have self-heals and party heals, and when you can bring a Red Mage.
It's fun to run a dungeon with no healer and only a tank, but it was only really fun before Endwalker made Warrior and Paladin so insane. Back in Shadowbringers, I had to get through a dungeon with just me (a Paladin) and 2 DPS, and the enemies were really hard to fight off without a healer. We were pretty reliant on Clemency and spells like Sleep. Now though, Paladin can just heal themselves as part of their rotation and use Divine and Intervention to heal others.
Because of my all-DPS dungeon runs, I had began to notice almost 10 years ago at this point, that FFXIV could work like SWTOR - where you can simply match 4 DPS in their roulettes if you want (but it let's you change spec if needed). Forcing us into this 1 tank, 1 healer, 2 DPS concept for dungeons is entirely redundant and, arguably, deep dungeons provide further evidence of this.
I mean I literally do only press a heal 1 or 0 times when I heal non-leveling dungeons. They are just a whole load of nothing unless someone gets hit and then your Warrior tank will just press Shake It Off or Nascent Flash. And if they die, a RDM, SMN or someone with a Phoenix Down will get them up.

Have we ever decided that the 120 year old quadriplegic blind grandma argument may be why casual content in this game is garbageI dare any "healers aren't needed" to switch to a healer, run any of the dungeon roulette except leveling and then not heal at all.
