It's still been a step up from the events we were seeing for a while, there. Thought it was cute, myself.

The entire post EW arch of the story includes details about the fact Voidsent literally are just regular people cursed by Darkness and thus forced into having the same relationship with aether someone with intense addict withdrawals has to deal with.

Any event that can be completed by someone at level 15 is going to be simple/easy. The Moonfire Faire is at level 30 mostly because of location (getting to Costa del Sol can be hazardous to the health of a level 15 player).

Players who want more apparently haven't been doing level 15 quests for a while.

I'd expect someone at level 100 to consider them trivial. You're never going to have to defeat Bahamut at level 15.

I agree with the OP - this season was pretty good and the reward was commensurate with effort.

Actually they were evil in those earlier ones but would often play innocent, at least those in the Continental Circus.

2020 was completely skipped.

2021 (which happened in 2022) was when Papa Gruff was introduced and he was pure evil for two events.

Gruff had his "conversion" in 2023.

And now it seems the Continental Circus is "reformed"

I blame Zero.

Still, not an excuse for such... boring storylines.

I get that they don't want those events to involve combat, or anything more exciting, but can we please have more thought out plots for those quests?

Do they have a static budget for all seasonal events collectively? Because it seems nowadays some are complete bangers like the Summer event, then we see the quality plummeting with this one. Feels like they have to choose which events are going to be cool and which ones are going to be boring quests that could've been a mogmail (letter from Impresario to his team telling to behave).

Speaking of, I kind of wish we could have more holiday decorations.. it really sucks to want to decorate my FC house and see that so many good pumpkin decors are locked behind the store because I wasn't around back then or didn't buy more of some items.. They're not exactly cheap either $3.50-5.00 or €2.45-4.35 for ONE item is actually disgusting price wise.

In fact, regardless of the 'story' content around these events I feel the Devs have made some real improvements where these events are concerned; I mean, we've had:
- Starlight Stalls for the Starlight Celebration
- The 'Party Ship' for Moonfire Faire
- The Haunted mansion (additional to the preexisting Sneaky Hollow) for All Saints' Wake

Honestly enjoy visiting those maps, and finding the various NPCs dotted around them.

What's there to talk about then? The decorations are the same as every year. Even inside Haukke Manor. We got 1 extra NPC this year for the maze. None of this is new. Not that I'm asking for anything new. It's just completely unimpressive. At best. If it's not based on Server Time (which I sincerely doubt it is because we've had a year Halloween was skipped altogether) then event decorations are literally as simple as having the janitor go change a 0 to a 1 real quick. The actual work's already done.

I'm fine with a milquetoast event. But calling this a breath of fresh air? Really?

I agree with the OP - this season was pretty good and the reward was commensurate with effort.

Nobody even asked for challenging Seasonal Event content.
This is no excuse to degrade them into nothing but walk from A-to-B then back to A again, sometimes walk to C and read unvoiced textboxes.
THAT is the issue you chose to completely ignore.

One thing is true, the rewards matched with "the effort".
0 effort put in, 0 effort asked = absolute bare minimum rewards.
