    Anima Currency

    Ok, so, anima is kinda turning into a type of currency with the implementation of hamlet. So I was wondering if we could trade in anima for GCS. Or even instead of GCS for sanction we have to spend anima on sanction. I think if they turned anima into a currency it would make for a very interesting system. It would also add choice, do I sacrifice my anima to get this(whatever this is) or save it for teleporting.

    Share your hates/thoughts/ideas.

    Um they are not turning anima into currency since you can't buy anything with anima.... you can buy anima but that doesn't make it a currency, it makes it a product.

    There's a difference between a resource and a currency. You don't buy anything with anima. You consume it through teleportation. It's not material.

    I buy food for my body, I eat it. In return I get a product called energy and life. Food is a currency for my body... either way, not going to have this argument anymore. Why are you even focused on this and not the idea of the op, come on, people on these forums I swear. You guys get lower and lower.

    I really like that black market idea. Lets try and build off that.

    Not that I am trying to defend the original argument, but:

    Buy Items from Wards
    Craft Militia Item
    Exchange For Anima
    Sell Teleport for Cash

    Repeat


    There is, albeit a roundabout way, now a mechanism for including Anima in the gil chain.

    I think I was able to:
    Spend 10k on crafting materials
    Make a Militia Item
    Trade it in for 4 anima.

    Giving Anima a value of 2.5k gil/ea. This would then yield teleport prices of:
    7.5k gil to Favourited Location
    15k gil to the most distant location

    If we cut in a decent amount of profit, cost of time & expense, simplicity of pricing scheme, then 25k/teleport would be a fair price.

    There is of course the added 'bonus' of sometimes getting 100 Anima.
