P8S is still very frustrating to run

What the above people said. I remember you said that you did it but now you're farming it. P8S is a pain to run since, unlike other unsync savage fights you're not bursting to skip mechanics. And even if we could, you'd STILL probably need to run NA1.

Silver lining is, it's SUPER scripted. Things only change in NA based on the order of mechs and HC1 is a mech where once you see your buff your entire path is set.

If NA is your pain point. I'd suggest picking the ranged spot for DPS. You anchor so you don't need to move (much) and just let others do the mech. And when I was learning on content I used Joonbob's video. The examples at the end really helped make a cheatsheet of sorts.

There isn't another way to get it and there won't be for a long time. In about 5-7 years I could see it being a moogle event reward, but those are temporary.

The fight may be easier to get through in the future when we all have better gear. The way Phase 2 mechanics work, you have to do them even if it's unsynced, so the only way it would become easier is if you can kill it before the mechanic appears.

Some players avoid other players even when they don't have any issues. We've probably all experienced it when we've joined raid parties enough times.

It's hard to cope with it, I know. Not everyone is nice or patient. I'm not going to pretend that everyone will be patient in a social setting.

The best you can do is to try to avoid such people and blacklist them. It's demoralizing when it happens, so when someone treats you that way, I would suggest doing something that makes you happy and keeps you busy, until you feel better about it. Venting to a friend can help as well if it continues to bother you.

I'm getting tired of this already, when I first started practising that raid, players would call out the problem makers (Not the mistakes), always came across as toxic.

Fastest way would be to setup a merc run to ensure you get the loot you want.

Otherwise, It's a coordination check for your party (almost like the entire of p1), can't really do much about it - but at least you won't have to deal with the woes of NA2 & HC2 memes.

After over 10 hours of practise now, I've got the fight memorized, and done multiple positions and roles. Obviously this is unsynced for the mount. But after about 5 tries of phase 2, it gets incredibly frustrating, especially when everyone knows the mechanics and we just mess up to simple mistakes. I'm really struggling mentally at the moment which doesn't help this. I'm not sure what to do now, it's taking too long (and too many tries) to get this mount. Is there really no other way to get it?

We've all been there. You'll get it - you got an infinite amount of tries, don't let it take over your sanity though brother.

I see nothing wrong with P8s, it was/is a difficult, complex raid that required precision and understanding. If you are failing mechanic it's only because you do not understand how to resolve it. Kobe has a short version of the most used mechanics which were used by NA when the tier was initially released. You can watch JoonBob and Hector as well.

You can watch youtube guides on how to unsync p8s. Doesn't look too bad considering that guides were done on 710/720 item level and even there people were skipping mechanics. Now on 750/760, people will skip even harder and make it even easier.
