I find it amusing when people just out themselves as little dictators control-freaks like that.

I find it amusing when other players walk around in MSQ content like prostitutes just because they like it.
But that doesn't mean everyone has to like it.
And the outcry when you suggest introducing a toggle option "ONLY FOR MSQ CONTENT" immediately gives everyone a heart attack,
because how could another player have the nerve to not want to see your half-naked ass?

Even if they added a toggle, you'd leave said trial/msq/whatever and see a bikini clad elephant or frog in town and probably freak out again, so it wouldn't really do anything for OP.

I am only in Town, if I travel to another Server. Not everyone like to stand around in Limsa or another Town and watching other Players.

I agree totally with OP.
That said I don't think that much of the of the gear can be turned off because it sadly is in keeping with later instances.
What I'am sick and tired of though is seeing those stupid animal costumes in instances.
Those were never part of the game and we're also always supposed to be a bit of silly nonsense.

What is needed is, for gear to have a flag, must be exclusive for use by devs (or we the same problems as mare) that signals a glam is a 'silly business' glam.
* Silly business glam pieces are then not displayed in 'Duty finder random party instances'. They are valid only for full or unlimited parties.

Or if you wanted to be really sophisticated CB3 , you could have contextualised glam plates, that switch or apply themselves depending upon the setting.

Btw. Wuk Lamat is wearing lore friendly clothes and a major part of the DT MSQ and it's akschually more lore friendly to run the dungeons with her, mr/mrs "muh immersion."

Well yes because you want a toggle that goes against the intent of the glamour system. If was intended to just be personal, then SE would have made it personal. But they allow players to present the appearance to the world that they want to present. It goes against the design to turn off someone else's glamour just because it isn't your personal taste.

I don't dress like that. I'm not going to deny others the opportunity to express themselves to the world in the way they see fit using the tool that SE gave them to do so. And we shouldn't be asking SE to provide that. If someone wants that, they can mod it away.
