Yeah, some people seriously struggle with entitlement and misunderstood boundaries.
Paying for a subscription or supporting a game doesn’t give you a free pass to do whatever you want.
Your payment isn’t a license to break the rules
It’s an agreement to follow the Terms of Service.

Square Enix tolerated a lot under a “don’t ask, don’t tell” approach when it came to cosmetic mods.
But tools like Mare Synchronos crossed a line and pretending otherwise is willful ignorance.
Just because the rules weren’t always enforced doesn’t mean they didn’t exist.
Looking on the bright side, if these entitled players actually quit over this, a lot of houses might finally free up for real FFXIV players.

LMAO, still on your little crusade built on entitlement?
I’m done entertaining your clownfest in the other thread as every points I made has already been proven.
Now I just just sitting back and watching the your little show.
Honestly, I can't stop laughing watching you run around attacking anyone who doesn’t agree with you.

Modding didn't go away. People weren't banned for using Mare, and mods themselves are still being used across the game. What got shut down was the ability to sync those mods with friends in real time. Mare was an opt-in tool used mostly in private RP and social spaces to share visual mods and enhance immersion. It wasn't harming gameplay or violating anyone's privacy.

Meanwhile, bots continue to run for weeks, and stalker tools like PlayerScope still exist in private circles. Square Enix chose to target the least harmful part of the modding scene while ignoring the tools that actually disrupt gameplay and invade player privacy.

To make it worse, the Mare devs had banned predators and bad actors from their service. Those same people forked Mare and created LSync, also known as Lopsync or LoporritSync, which is still active. So the worst actors got to keep their tools, while the rest of them who just wanted to have fun with friends got punished.

Now please get the f back on topic

    Get a hold of yourself.
No one here is attacking mods.
He was just poking fun at the people running venues through FFXIV housing
Especially the ones loudly claiming they’re going to quit over this.
You seriously need to address this issue of taking other people's statement into whole different direction
    Want to defend Mare?
There are two active threads in the General forum for that.
    You’re in the wrong place.
