    I've yet to play a game where gathering/crafting is not the very essence of tedium as the gather stuff - make stuff gameloop is monotony to its core. I don't expect it to be fast-paced and engaging. Heck I think it could afford to slow down. The best part of fishing is hanging out with people and chatting while waiting for bites.

    Imagine being annoyed at a system that tries to make you actually engage with the content and crafting rotations instead of just using macros.

    Before anybody jumps in, I'm not saying that the crafting gameplay is necessarily good or not there. But you're just complaining that you can't just get through macros because of rng. And you say you're a master at utilizing the system to its fullest? What a joke.

    Those missions are STILL NOT MACROABLE.
    This is by design. They don't want the most current/difficult crafts to be macroable.

    Making missions basically rely on luck alone to complete is bad design,
    Not being macroable is not really the same thing as being reliant on luck. What they want is for players to actively adapt to the changing craft condition rather than have a single set track of actions that will resolve the craft no matter what.

    Some DoL missions actually do require you to get RNG procs in order to gold. Those are closer to what I would say are luck-based missions, and unlike with the crafting missions, that is something that will not improve simply by being a couple xpacs later or 10-20 levels higher. Unless they overhaul the gathering systems entirely somehow and change how the random procs work, these missions will always be subject to the same level of RNG they are now.

    THIS. Yes, I'm aware the majority of the lower missions are trival to do (even BEFORE the new gear). As a completionist I want to be able to finish ALL missions for the achievement without relying on the mercy of RNG to hand it to me when the content is still relevant, not a year later.

    Top missions rely on RNG of getting the right status at the right time , complete roll of dice, regardless of skill level.
    Or I could go do treasure maps which are RNG x8 x 5.
    Or I could do EX trials for a 5% RNG chance of getting the mount to drop and RNG x8 chance of winning roll.
    Or I could do PvP modes that are complete RNG of who DF pairs you with.
    Or I could RNG bid on a house.
