I feel like elitism is running wild on a thread where all that was asked was an easier mode. Not a change to what you had or what you can do, but an easier mode because it was too hard for them. Or me, hell that new alliance raid sucks. I don't want to do it again. I did not find it fun. But I'm also not you guys. I don't want everything always to be as hard as possible. I do think they've lost what fun is in terms of content or job design.

It's not elitism to say "no". It's elitism because some individuals refuse -- not can't, they refuse -- to put in the effort set as a requirement for them.

Next somebody will call this ableist before they even finished reading the entire second sentence. Stupidity is a skill. And it is not a desirable one for the grossly overwhelming majority.

Not everyone is like you. I play for fun. If it's not fun I don't play. I stay in my lane so to speak. I don't want to do anything harder than normal difficulty though that differs between people, but there's this group of people that want to ruin the content I find fun when no one is asking for the content in their lane to change at all.

Not really. If you encounter a situation like that you have another option and it's one that's considerably more financially damaging to the company that made that game I'm just saying.

It's not that hard of a choice honestly if you got stuck. There are loads a games I dropped because they got boring or too hard.

i personally think DT's difficulty is fine if u dont wanna adapt there is many many other games to play esp good singleplayer games that would cater more to you

I'm fine. I'm just not finding the stuff we're doing fun. I'm all caught up to the newest AR raid. I'm going to unsubscribe because I'm bored. I'm not the OP. I'm not stuck on the meso terminal.

He should probably play those games more often too. It's incredible how insulted people feel by a term that was invented to be endearing.

That's what it ultimately boils down to. Hardcore players aren't satisfied with the content that's already exclusive to them, they want the WHOLE GAME to be like, Extreme-tier or higher and don't care who gets filtered out as a result, or even think that's a good thing for the game overall because they genuinely believe casuals "ruined everything".

Chaotic and Forked Tower, if not Dawntrail as a whole, just made them really comfortable with being mask off with how they really feel because the developers themselves are catering wholly to them right now, even prioritizing the budget to hardcore content apparently.

And who would those "hardcore gamers" be, to even care about a bunch of irrelevant dungeons?

As for Chaotic, the mechanics and difficulty were fine, a step above EX but below savage. What made it harder were the number of people needed for it and the high inconsistency coming from players. God forbid people took the correct tower or stand in their correct alliances, or not get doomed a million times/run or doom a bunch of people, including themselves.
