Don't watch them but conveniently spreading their platform where they go off regularly about reactionary conspiracies like white replacement, et al? Hm, curious. I don't watch them. The only convenience was me searching for more FF stuff, and coming to the forums and searching for kate, that is it cut and dry. I have no idea about their other videos, or anything they've done outside of that video alone. But now i'm going to look further into them and see what the hubub is about.

Edit: Yeah...I can definitely see what you mean though, about their vids. Hmm. Does seem to be quite a bit of outlandish takes, a load of doom posting, and sensational things. Well then.

Sena Bryer calls herself a white woman so I'm going off of that. She's also voiced dissent about people who voice characters of the wrong background/orientation so I apply that standard to her as well.

I do not believe she was a good fit for Wuk Lamat, and she's had a looooot of lines to give as the character and there really hasn't been any growing into the role.

Rerecording doesn't delete her subpart ability to play the role.

I don't think the re-recording is all that much of an improvement.
We also more or less got the exact same scene with Wuk before she jobbed to the wall, and got another incredibly flat performance, so I'm going to assume Sena just struggles to emote while doing the Wuk Voice.

Feels like people forget just how consistently underwhelming a lot of the English voice acting is in FFXIV, especially in DT. Lyna in Shadowbringers and a few others stand out at specific moments, but a lot of the time, everyone feels like they're entirely too calm about everything going on. Actual screaming is unheard of.

Wuk still getting this kind of hate is just silly.
