Doesn't happen often, but karma DOES exist in this game...

I was playing the newest dungeon and got a little unlucky by dying during the second miniboss(es) from a falling spiky ball while trying to dodge a different mechanic. It was the only death and everything went smoothly otherwise, and yet the tank was smarmy enough to say "struggling a bit, little buddy? :3" ... a miqote tank saying this to an elezen... anyway, I didn't reply and just kept playing.

... then at the final boss, the guy proceeds to die TWICE to the large lightning lanes. Makes an excuse "oh I was sending a message". I thought it was pretty funny, but decided to be the bigger person by not commenting on it. Pretty satisfying when something like that happens though.

Did a castrum meridianum run as dps and this fresh lvl 50 healer kept standing in stuff and complaining that the tank was taking was too much damage and needed to put more tenacity materia in his gear. (The tank was a well geared lvl 100 warrior mind you). On top of that he always ran out of MP and kept telling us to "debuff the boss" we told him how to better manage his MP and that we could really "debuff the boss" and regardless of how much we explained it and told him to stay out of stuff, he would just never get the message.

The tank just ended up leaving and before I left the healer said "white mage is the worst job ever"

I would not be surprised if he started sticking nothing but piety materia in his gear because he thinks white mage is a MP hog.

Well this was silly;

Go to do levelling roulette on DRK, get Sunken Temple of Qarn in progress. Group is about 13 minutes in at the second boss. Last tank apparently left because he didn't like that the healer used Rescue on him.

Thought that was a silly reason to leave; what the healer left out is that Rescue was used in the middle of doing standard pulls because he didn't want to keep pace with the tank. Last tank likely just got frustrated when the healer should've been more honest and said "hey, can we do smaller pulls" rather than yanking a tank mid-pull. Ended up learning how this healer operated finishing up this dungeon when I get yanked trying to get to the last couple of mobs in a pull.

It's Qarn, the mobs barely tickle outside the bees at the start. If you want small pulls just say "small pulls please" instead of abusing Rescue like that; it's very annoying.

I honestly agree. While I wouldn't leave like the tank did, I absolutely hate it when healers use rescue on you as a way of telling you to pull faster while not even checking your gear first.

Some people pull slower because they know that they're gear most likely couldn't handle it.

No healer should be using rescue on tanks just to get them to pull faster.

Other way around; we were doing large pulls and healer wanted small pulls, and the healer was "more than capable" because my health never went below 50%, they just never communicated that beforehand. It's Qarn, you barely need a healer outside of bees. I do agree that if you want to go outside of the norm, you should communicate, and rescuing for that purpose is frustratingly annoying.

While not bad, but painfully slow. So i got qarn normal in lvling roulette an we had a lvl 100 PLD that was just painfully slow and made the run unnecessarily long. She never used sprint, she pulled 1 group at a time, And she wanted to check all the extra rooms for treasure while at the same time spawning all the extra enemies. i checked her profile and it said something about "Just having fun" or something. I completely understand if people wanna have fun and all, but what exactly is fun moving at a snail's pace at max lvl while wasting the time of 3 others just because you wanna explore every nook and cranny of a lvl 35 dungeon? keep in mind that i'm sure she is also doing this on DT dungeons for "Fun". We could've just vote dismissed her, but she technically didn't do anything wrong and of course wrongful abuse of the vote dismiss system is punishable.

am i just unlucky or is there a concerning amount of tanks that don't know how to take aggro back after being raised? it's only been a week and this is the THIRD time in the meso terminal i've been in the situation where the tank has died on the final boss, we get them back up, they don't take aggro back (two of the times i mentioned it in chat before it could screw the fight over) which in the worst case nearly caused a wipe, i will admit i probably should have said something in the party chat there sooner but i had too much good faith i suppose...

'Cause people are generally bad and have tunnel vision. Even 3rd party tools play better than these "i dont care" type of players. Same thing is happening in pvp where players don't want to change dance partners if their partner dies or kardia to a new person... They are simple minded people.

This one is pretty old, but happened in Endwalker. Was in one of the dungeons with my friend. He was healer, me tanking and we had 2 dps.

Now here comes the interesting part, those 2 dps were strangely playing very similar. One was afk on a follow, while other was barely even playing. Then I noticed that at bosses they move at different time and it looked like that one person is managing 2 accounts simultaneously. Then they died at the boss and didn't want to ress. Alright I think to myself and finally come to conclusion that indeed it is one player controlling both of them. He didn't even want to roll on items so he can't be kicked... I tried to chat but he is silent. We came to last boss and I didn't want to pull it. I told my friend to not heal and let them die. So what happened next?

Whenever an item would expire from the looting table, one of them would desperately try to open a coffer nearby if possible so they can't get kicked again. Then once those last items were off, they tried to pull the boss so again in combat and you can't kick. Then the guy got super mad for us two not wanting to finish the dungeon and he rage quit. We kicked his 2nd account, found replacement and did favor for 2 people who actually needed that dungeon done.

Had a guy from Novice Network when I entered tower of zot one particularly normal day. Immediately says "EW IT'S BLISTERING FROST, JUST BLACK LIST THEM AND LEAVE YOU GUYS!" then immediately proceeds to leave.

The remaining two party members said "Whats his problem?????" and I said "I don't even know this person" and then we did the dungeon and we cleared it with absolutely no problems at all.

And then I reported him.

Moral of the story? Don't be a weirdo my siblings in Hydalaen. People will notice it. And nobody will care.

Had an 'interesting' one a short time ago.

Queued Normal Trial roulette as Sage and M5(N) popped. Long story short, it wasn't a very experienced team (and I've never claimed to be any good at anything myself) and 99% of the team wiped with Dancing Green at 40%. However, one Tank - a Dark Knight - was left standing and proceeded to continue, with a few of the team asking for reset. Noo - he wasn't having any of that...
