The tank was level 51. I checked before someone did a Vote Kick. No way a player would act like this consciously, so it definately had to be a troll.

Also cudos to the other DD for staying with this "tank" for 30 minutes I would not last 3 minutes in such a group, since experience tells me that such groups never end well.

I get what you mean. I've no issue with young people playing or learning.

But reading how they said the Hall of Novices was "locked" for them at level 51? Ehhh I dunno.

Had a Hrothgar healer in Cutter's Cry. He died in speedrun tunnels so it begins:

Healer: "thx for rushing"
Me: "Sigh"
Healer: "Shall I leave? :3"
Me: "literally nobody would care if you do."

Then he ressed and went out from dungeon. We got an instant replacement lmao.

So I want to ask an honest-to-gods question:

Why is it, as a tank, do you feel the need to single-pull in Alexandria of all places, and then when two other people go to fetch mobs for you to help speed up the dungeon, that you feel the need to LITERALLY RUN AWAY FROM THE REST OF YOUR PARTY that has the mobs and were BRINGING THEM TO YOU? Especially when the Reaper and I on White Mage were literally carrying both you, the lethargic GNB and the absolutely clueless Ninja. Oh, and why is it that you almost never hit mitigations during the run? You're supposed to hit them as they're not only part of your kit, they ALSO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF DAMAGE YOU TAKE.

Had this happen a few nights ago in High-level roulette, and we had a dimbo of a GNB tank do just that. The whole dang dungeon took almost an hour to complete, with only one wipe because I was too busy having to scrape people off the floor, mainly the Ninja, for the 12th time, to notice where Partition was going off on. Legit the tank looked like they could solo the last boss, but then decided at 10% they were just going to eat mechanics and die like an idiot. Literally ran into the wall at 10% and just ducking gave up.

And then why, after we finally clear the dungeon, do you ask for comms in a way that sounded so entitled? Comms that you clearly don't deserve after pulling a nearly 60-minute stunt like that. I gave my comm to the reaper that broke their dang back carrying both of you.

Asking for comms? Thats an automatic pass for me. You could have literally done the dungeon single handedly while the rest of us practiced ballroom dancing and told Yo Mama jokes. If you ask, the answer is no.

yeah. it shouldnt really matter objectively but somehow if someone asks for comms i suddenle have a strong urge to not give one.
if the other two played poorly i'll rather give it to noone xD

am i just unlucky or is there a concerning amount of tanks that don't know how to take aggro back after being raised? it's only been a week and this is the THIRD time in the meso terminal i've been in the situation where the tank has died on the final boss, we get them back up, they don't take aggro back (two of the times i mentioned it in chat before it could screw the fight over) which in the worst case nearly caused a wipe, i will admit i probably should have said something in the party chat there sooner but i had too much good faith i suppose...

That's interesting. I have done this dungeon only once, as tank, and I too died on the last boss (6 stacks of +damage and a tank buster). I got rezzed, I provoked, and... nothing - boss kept hitting a DD.
Thought I had missed that provoke button in the heat of the battle, but if you see this happen a lot, it might be some sort of strange bug. Or incompetency, of course

Doesn't happen often, but karma DOES exist in this game...

I was playing the newest dungeon and got a little unlucky by dying during the second miniboss(es) from a falling spiky ball while trying to dodge a different mechanic. It was the only death and everything went smoothly otherwise, and yet the tank was smarmy enough to say "struggling a bit, little buddy? :3" ... a miqote tank saying this to an elezen... anyway, I didn't reply and just kept playing.

... then at the final boss, the guy proceeds to die TWICE to the large lightning lanes. Makes an excuse "oh I was sending a message". I thought it was pretty funny, but decided to be the bigger person by not commenting on it. Pretty satisfying when something like that happens though.
