Third boss of the newest 24-man raid.

Places 6 crystals on the ground in 6 different colors. They represent lightning(purple), fire/red), ice(light blue), water(dark blue), earth(yellow) and air(green). The boss will send out two rings from the center, these rings will match a color of the crystals, making the two matching ones blow up with a circle AoE. He does this twice, a different move and then a third time.
While the circles he send out have a bit of an effect on them such as waves on the water, it's subtle and can be difficult to see in the heat of a fight.

Hey I'm jumping in on this one to add that the new maps dungeon is similarly intensive on the visual overstimulation added to 7.3 with an extra layer of background movement that is triggering to motion sickness on top of it. I was doing them earlier today with a group of friends, and we rarely do maps for longer than a couple of hours at most, and I was feeling quite ill by the end of it, as a player that is both photosensitive and prone to motion sickness. With the Alliance Raid fights this round also being quite rough to photosensitive people, this patch is decidedly hostile to play! I would really like some accessibility options added to reduce how awful it feels to play (at this point) nearly every style of content with the current patch.

I would be happy if they adjusted the Ex4 and the Recollection trial, along with the 2 newest AR raids, to lower the VFX brightness, as it's hard to see the boss mechanics.

Yes, I turn off others' effects for a long time now, but it doesn't really change much when the map itself is too flashy.

DT Trial 3/EX3 are the worst by far for this, but Trial 4/EX4 are also not great. I don't understand how many times we have to tell them that digital distortion is extremely hard to handle for people with visual sensitivities, I thought we'd hammered that point home with the Nier raids. We're not even asking them to NOT do these things, just give us the option to turn it off or down, at the very least.

Bumping in solidarity, and also to point out that some of these problematic effects are not even limited to fights, but the glitchy, flashing effects are also part of the EX mounts, too. If multiple people use them in PVP, it can be really bad for people that are photosensitive, on top of everything else that is going on.

Bumping, because something has to be done to address this. From discomfort to distress some fights became barely playable for some people, and it becomes recurrent. I've never heard myself say this so often to my friends while playing: But we can't see anything! Despite reducing players skill animations visuals. We need accessibility settings for the enemies and mechanics too .

I always have and will be in support of better/more accessibility settings like this.

Did the new treasure dungeon recently and had to glue my camera to the floor as well as shut my eyes whenever the slots were rolled due too the flashy moving backdrop mixed with the camera moving giving me a headache, even when I was already turned to look where the slots show up the camera was too much.

Simply staring at the west and east sides of the dungeon alone is enough to make me sick and I've never had issues like these playing this game, not even in the nier raids, so please add more accessibility options and tune back on all the bright lights, flashing attacks, flickering effects and high saturation that DT has been using.

I'm not surprised. When I first saw it, I went "Oh no, tons of bright flashing lights again". Thankfully, those are fine for me but I found myself utterly overwhelmed by the visual effects in the new alliance raid. There is so much clutter that I find the mechanics incredibly hard to read.

Me and my girlfriend have been playing through the game and she has some photosensitivity issues and while things have been generally bearable its been steadily gotten more and more difficult for her to parse the mechanics as we gotten to the tail end of Stormblood content. And im very worried how Shadowbringers is going to be for her.
Any accessibility options that alleviate the visual noise would be extremely helpful and welcome.

I do have to say that while I don't suffer from much of anything, I still find some of the effects hard to tell and some that are very visually noisy, for no other reason than to look "pretty".

EX 3 is so annoying to me, to be fair, because the hue and saturation of the roses are close to the background they sit on. Like, who thought that was a good idea? Like, yes, it makes sense thematically, but please SE pick a better color scheme.

In all fairness, the color scheme has been all over the place for a while now, and it's really annoying.
