    Out of curiosity, what part of the fight is difficult?

    Is it the late telegraph for attacks, the small arena, missed/overlooked parts like the adds/doom/interrupt?
    I've only heard people say it difficult, but not much about what it is that's the problem.

    Are people running with NPCs and are used to follow them to avoid, and it's making it more difficult in the solo-cell?

    Are we really getting upset and complaining that day one instanced content isn't a cakewalk?... really?

    If you are so discouraged that you give up after a couple of wipes, I have to question how you got to lvl 100 and 7.3 content to begin with.
    I'm sorry, but if you are so self absorbed and stubborn that you refuse to learn combat mechanics in a MMORPG then get gatekept I guess. Just know that the only one keeping you at that gate is yourself. There is no big scary "elitist cabal" wanting to keep casuals out. That's just silly.

    It's very simple, those that find this content "easy" or at least mildly challenging also want others to learn and overcome this challenge so it gets easier and faster for reclears and roulettes.

    Why are people so unwilling to believe that design gets eaten away at multiple points

    Casuals are why the tanks are immortal

    Midcore players are why melees get 100% uptime without trying

    Speed runners are why jobs are dead if they are 0.5% weaker than the other job

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    That's the wrong focus imo. It's just lazy design for lazy players. If you're a hardcore player and you're into speedrunning, is it speedrunning when they force everyone to the same speed?

    Casual players struggle with complex mechanics, instead of making the mechanics less complex they delete the mechanics so everyone can do it, it's the laziest design choice available.

    I just don't understand what's so hard about the second boss if you could make it all the way here. This is the single player FF equivalent of the final dungeon. If you've already made it this far, you've shown you have the skill needed for this.

    As I said, I don't think learning to laugh it off/become less concerned about being a burden is going to drastically improve my performance - my reaction speed isn't going to suddenly improve. But still - I guess I really should stop worrying about what other players may or may not think of my performance in-game.

    - It is mandatory for the story because devs know that there isn't big content of MSQ, so some gatekeeping to not allow you to progress fast is key here in their doing, e.g. game sin.

    - As for the people who say "git gud" this would be acceptable if we didn't have same mechanics over and over that involve memorizing 1000 patterns and where is the safe spot. This isn't anything new, this is same old crap that they place in. "Memorize where your safe spot is after every 2nd / 4th boss ability, then know what to do every single time when same mechanic occurs. If your brain is sleepy and your memory is poor, tough luck!".

    I like hard content but ffxiv does it quite the opposite where hard comes from "please remember how to dance here as there are 100 patterns". This isn't fun, others done it better.
