Why is there no Housing Update on the special site 7.3?

It was the only thing I was looking forward to in 7.3 and now I have nothing interesting again ...

Same... I was so excited for it. Although I have other things I can do in-game, this really killed my motivation.

So frustrating. The item increase shouldn’t have to be grouped with the interior upgrades either. One can be implemented, and should have been, way before the other.

I thought that's what we were doing originally, and I was fine with just item slots for now. The interior upgrades better be good lol

Make everything 800 then and I decide what I do with that or not.

This is what I was suggesting in another thread I made! If you're going to let us upgrade to any size, then let us upgrade the item slot limit so we can use any layout + max item slot limit. It makes sense right now since it's an incentive to aim for a bigger house. But if a cottage is going to be a mansion in 7.4, let everyone have the same item slot limit.

For waiting this long, I’d like at least double across the board. So 200 apartment, 400 cottage, 600 medium and 800 large.

Double's unlikely to happen for a few reasons


1. Outdated hardware still supported (PS4)
2. Ancient game engine
3. Infrastructure that's heavily under-invested in compared to the revenue the game makes.

Yep. SE's management team are not even listening to the core players. EXCEPT for PVPers and Raiders. are the top 2 players who are being heard atm, as they are the ones with the loudest voices. ; x ;

And it sadens me to no end.

I love SE, i love FFXIV, i love the community, people what not. So to see where it's gone from being ''Caring, loving, compassionate, caring for its player base'' to ''head in the sand and denying FF is in a bad shape'' is sad. :'( and it tears at my heart.

We're currently in the final phase of adjustments for housing-related updates, such as increasing the maximum number of furnishings that can be placed, and allowing housing to have interiors which are larger than their exterior appearance.

We still need to perform major optimizations for handling immense amounts of data, so we'd appreciate if you could bear with us a while longer. We will follow up with additional details when we have updates to share.

While I wouldn’t expect to see this in the current patch cycle (7.3x), unless they do a presentation specifically for it, this is the first time the interior size change has been confirmed to be coming alongside the item limit increase, and within this expansion. “Final phase” sounds promising but who knows how much longer a wait we’re in for.

But it does seem like they are holding the item limit to do interior size change at the same time. Twelve please don’t let them be linked! I want a small with more items in it, I don’t want to have to increase interior size to get more items!

Another update, which is currently under consideration, would allow players to expand the interior size of their estate; for example, a Small estate could have a Large-size interior.

Finally, as we’ve previously announced, we are currently working to increase the maximum number of furnishings that can be placed in an estate. We expect it to be ready by Patch 7.2 or 7.3, so please look forward to it!

When I read "We will follow up with additional details when we have updates to share", I can't help but think that this update might not even be ready for 7.4 which sounds insane for something that was announced back in 2023!

Sadly this is just corporate drivel again. If anything this just screams: "Just wait till it arrives"
again with which it being from our notorious Devs can mean 7.4, 7.5 or 8.0 or never.

they got make sure you stay subbed to their mid game by holding the jingly keys in front of you until the last patch when basically there is NOTHING AT ALL worth doing anymore. and people are just "catching up" to meet the expectations for 8.0 basically you're the funding cash cow for the dev's weak budget.
