Well I cant wait to start huntin them eggs.

Well I cant wait to start huntin them eggs.

You'll to explain to me how no holiday is better than a holiday. At worse, they're equal. Let's take what you posted earlier.
Without holidaySome of you all are so bottleneck selected that any input you have has become bad advice to Square Enix.
Running a holiday event right now makes it look like the following to the majority of players who are on the fringe:
1. They're not good enough to release content worth paying for. This is our third straight free to play caliber content update.
2. They're dicking around all month long on these types of worthless trash events while they should be working on things that have been broken for a half year.
3. Square Enix's product remains a waste of the majority of its subscribers' time.
1. They're not good enough to release content worth paying for. They have yet to release anything.
2. They're dicking around all month long doing nothing while they should be working on things that have been broken for a half year.
3. Square Enix's product remains a waste of the majority of its subscribers' time.
And if I didn't play this game but was thinking of coming back, checked to see what kind of updates were in the works and saw they had yet to release anything, I wouldn't think about coming back anymore(not saying the holiday help, but it don't make think worse).Doesn't matter what a small core of people who SE has hook, line, and sinker think. They shouldn't ask you all for your opinion, because your opinions aren't going to help them any more. This was a bad idea and will hurt them. And you all will clearly let them hurt themselves.
I know if I didn't play this game but was thinking of coming back, checked to see what kind of updates were in the works, and saw this ****, I'd just laugh and shake my head. April fools is a good day to wake up and see this.
The worse message the holiday event can send is that they have yet to release anything tangible except for the holiday events. It's the same message as if they hadn't release anything at all.

omfg i completely agree and it takes a blind person to not see your point.....So they didn't have chocobos, airships, quests, more than 4 animations per job, spells that aren't tech demo quality, a funcional market system, and NMs...but they had these holiday events just ready to go?
I don't give a damn what they had planned at release. Clearly that plan failed.
As holiday events make up the *majority* of our new content, I'm left to assume that they in fact do take up most of the time and effort.
7 months in guys, with next to no new content that matters. Time to stop piddling around with holiday items, gear, and animations.

And in 6 more months will ppl be saying "bah give it time its only been a year" come tf on..
So lets talk about something productive for a change can we ?
Legend of heroes: Trails in the sky came out, really good game :P

They are assing around i agree every time i check i see them saying crap like "oooohhh yes excitement excitement coming soon we have all the things u guys want easter events lucky lucky you! and!!! WAIT FOR IT.... what u all have been waiting coming soon ... companies!" wtf forums are they reading? the best biggest thing i've seen is they will add auto-attack if done right thats a + but WHEN... IF they have one big hail mary pass(Update) planned to win this thing it better have some heat under it or its gonna fall short. Then this game is over. period time isnt going backwards ppl... crazy non FF fans saying "its only been 6 months" i'm like wtf its been 6 freakin months too long to see no real improvementYou'll to explain to me how no holiday is better than a holiday. Um you guys know holiday events don't develop themselves, right?
Hence why people are justified in crying foul when the developers allot time to something so fleeting, superficial, and downright pointless in the scheme of things. And If it's a matter of community content, then I am sure a minute-long brainstorming session could produce a million other features which would be more utile for the player-base than a one-off event ever could be, and probably just as time-consuming to code. But of course SE in their infinite wisdom takes the bandaid approach to all issues in the hopes that superficial, trifling content will mollify people's desire for substance.

At this point, no one can hear you because of how loud you are yelling.
I do get what you are saying. America is the land of first impressions and not too many chances. Which to be honest, desperately needs to change. The fickle, critical minds of some game players, American teenagers mostly, is exactly what I wish could be avoided around here. But you are right that this game will need at least some of them to survive.Running a holiday event right now makes it look like the following to the majority of players who are on the fringe:

But just as fickle as Americans can be, if the game is good enough, and starts getting a good reputation, people will come play. The difference is that I believe they are doing that, while clearly you do not. Since nothing has been released, neither of us has any facts to back us.
You are clearly passionate about this game. I don't think you are a troll. I just think you are blowing this out of proportion.![]()
