It ranges from being out of place to deeply offensive.

The most frustrating aspect of this continues to be the contradiction of the promise to do better regarding cultural inspirations and how many times this issue keeps coming up.

If there is no will to remove any of the older offensive sets such as the Far Northern Attire (which was also requested by the Saami representatives themselves), perhaps it would be possible to have tighter oversight for anything new.

There is absolutely nothing offensive with the new sets. A small group of toxic and ignorant people on Bluesky created a problem out of thin air. I'm saying that as someone was born and raised in Peru, I am also 1/4 Mohawk and work as a lawyer on landclaims and IBAs in favour of indigenous people.

I think it’s kind of rude that you keep minimizing and invalidating the accounts of other people who say they are bothered by the set and have for the most part been very polite and constructive in pointing out why and what can be done to fix it.

Instead of continuously replying to posts in here just to pull rank and say “nuh-uh”, maybe you should try lending other latam people who /are/ bothered a little bit of solidarity instead of the multimillion dollar company?

It’s absolute BS. The offended have never lived in South Ametica. The armours have nothing to see with coquistador outfits. It’s fake and ingorant outrage by foreigners and that’s the offensive part in all this.
