Will you play FF XIV Mobile?

Nope, gonna let my sub lapse and probably uninstall. Why would I play a mobile version of a game that asks me to pay irl money to use the market board when I can do that in game for free already? I'm so sick and tired of this company trying to squeeze out every last god damn nickel and dime they can. "Oh our inventory and bank space is shit in this game? Well that's alright, you can just tack on another $14 a month to your sub to fix an issue we created"

When I play, I want a big screen, brilliant sound, a mouse and a keyboard.
Therefore I don't play mobile games, no matter how good they are (in case there are any good ones out there).

Yeah, no I won't play mobile either, and for reasons they posted.

I am genuinely intrigued tho.. Was this something that Square Enix invested in for a primarily Asian market? And is the research available to show us what they were thinking to make this a thing? I'm actually kind of torqued that they can invest in building a mobile version of XIV, and not.. you know, invest in providing features people are literally begging for on the forums and going full blown /ignore mode on reviews for their latest expansion.

I still enjoy XIV, but this is one bean in the counting box moving into the 'not approved' side of things for me.

Yoshi-P flat out told us that Tencent approached him with loads of powerpoints and he was impressed, so he decided to work with them. The people working on it have played the game a lot themselves and done Savage etc.

I'd play it just for a brief escape from all the RPers and venues oversaturating the game. Then once they and mods inevitably overrun it, I'll come back here.

Lol true. Honestly though the more I think about it its just better overall though. Dawntrail set me back like $40 and upgrading from the f2p version also gets the same benefit upgrades. In contrast the mobile is asking me to spend $20 on something I like from their cash shop. Cheaper and I get something I want out of it.

The changes are interesting, but for me that is a no, I have too many characters to tend to and I also had my fill of going through ARR enough times on alts.
