Will you play FF XIV Mobile?

To be honest, I’m struggling to find any benefit of playing what’s essentially a New Game + on a smaller screen. Are there any benefits that would transfer to XIV once you complete an activity in Mobile? I mean, I clear an extreme trial in Mobile, I get a unique hairstyle in XIV?

if you don't pay a sub honestly yes I will be I heard it is rather good for mobile and they also have its own server I think otherwise 8.0 will kill job even morex)

If anything FFXIV mobile is better than FFXIV on PC and consoles at this point but I am not that interested as I dont play mobile games

Therefore I don't play mobile games, no matter how good they are (in case there are any good ones out there).

Wow, I never knew Mobile will have a desktop client. If that’s true, then it makes me a bit angry, because I’ve read somewhere that the mobile version fixed the notorious spaghetti code on many levels. Which only tells me that SE decided to run a fixed cash grab mobile version of their own game instead of focusing on fixing the actual game. That then also reveals what their priorities really are.

Yeah, no I won't play mobile either, and for reasons they posted.

I am genuinely intrigued tho.. Was this something that Square Enix invested in for a primarily Asian market? And is the research available to show us what they were thinking to make this a thing? I'm actually kind of torqued that they can invest in building a mobile version of XIV, and not.. you know, invest in providing features people are literally begging for on the forums and going full blown /ignore mode on reviews for their latest expansion.

I still enjoy XIV, but this is one bean in the counting box moving into the 'not approved' side of things for me.

Yoshi-P flat out told us that Tencent approached him with loads of powerpoints and he was impressed, so he decided to work with them. The people working on it have played the game a lot themselves and done Savage etc.
