Like in life, you struggle, you fail, once, twice, a lot of times, but if you don't give up in the end, you get it. You persevere, and you never expect things to be handed to you on a silver platter because you exist.
Except that the challenge of modern FFXIV PvE combat design is more akin to memorizing the first ten-thousand digits of Pi and being able to recite them back without fail, on demand, repeatedly.

It's a feat, to be sure, but relatively few find it fun and rewarding to pull it off themselves.

    So???....

Why do you even care what I do for fun? You sound bitter and salty. You remind me of that meme with "you are not allowed to have fun because I'm not having fun." Very sad, anyway.......... what were we talking about?

    That a load of rubbish.

There are plenty of players who enjoy raiding and find it enjoyable but you casuals cannot fathom that some people enjoy getting better at a hobby they love instead of having everything handed to them while crying that they want to relax.

Its nothing at all like learning Pi or anything hard. You go in. You die a lot. And you learn and improve throughout progression until you can cross that hurdle and when you do it feels good!

Memorizing the first 10,000 digits of pi isn't particularly hard. I'd find that much easier than clearing savage.

Know why? People are different. And this obsession raiders have with pushing non-raiders into savage is frankly bizarre.

It's almost as if you want us to waste as much time as you do.

I've spent a lot of time in competitive spaces and speedrun communities, and this mindset applies to most hobbies. The idea is that if people push others to engage more with certain aspects of the game, the company might invest even deeper in those areas. For FFXIV, this could mean more Ultimate raids or even sponsoring the World First Races if enough people get involved. This also benefits content creators. More people raiding means more views on raiding guides, or their streams, which translates to more money. Many of these creators thrive financially in competitive and or hardcore spaces, so they need to promote these areas to keep them growing. This is largely why you see PvP communities in FFXIV constantly promoting themselves. It's all about growth. This also attracts wannabe creators who are still finding their footing in these spaces, making them want to engage as well.

The real load of rubbish is your lazy, condescending elitism on display here. Maybe come up with something actually constructive and not the same regurgitated hyperbole?

I don't think that is what is being asked here. It is evident that a significant amount of content, especially in this expansion, is geared towards individuals who prioritize raiding. This is fine, but in doing so, they have neglected the wants of the general player base, and that should be their primary concern.

Not one is asking to have those rewards handed to them on a silver platter, but rather to receive more content that can be enjoyed by the majority of players playing this game.

I don't think they were speaking about difficulty or entitlement.
