I'd rather have something like the Well of Goodwill from RuneScape. Let players just toss their gil down this well, and in return give the entire server a random buff (kinda like FC buffs) for a certain amount of time. That's a lot more constructive than just letting players straight up buy gil.

I actually like this idea. I had also mentioned in another forum (questing or lore, forgot which) the idea of paying Lolorito to build more aetherytes around the world.

Now that I think about it, they could put it in Kugane. Do the whole "offering to the kami" thing. It'd be so simple to implement.
