The anniversary was very recent so saying people have moved on etc is a bit naive. I can understand why they have not been added in the last few patches as a result.

Am I remembering this right, primal weapons will no longer be obtainable in 2.0? Only one major patch left...

yes but they also said that in 2.0 you can fight them so you can summon so saying there wep would be no longer is out of the question now i think that was only for moogle but we have not yet got a new information on that.

I have never heard anything like that, and I like to think I keep up with all FFXIV news. Although I didn't come back until 1.21, so plenty of stuff I could have missed before then, I guess...

the only thing i remember was moogle would no longer be available and the other primal storyline would change to fit more of the current events of ffxiv. Not even sure if the moogle was really confirm or not but it something i remember reading we may have to keep this topic alive too the golden week is over to listen to a dev answer.

I remember them saying something about the current content and it's availability after 2.0, but I don't remember exactly what.... That's a tough one... I guess the best place to start would be the month or two after the 2.0 announcement. looking for dev posts and interviews
There is a chance that Yoshi P just implied that current content in general wasn't for 2.0.... There is a lot of info to pour through to find it though...

I think it would be weird if Ifrit and Garuda were completely cut out of the game at 2.0....
I can't imagine a final fantasy game (Other than XII) where Ifrit is just a footnote in the past
